Actually, I know a bunch of women that do hate the word moist.
Most of them are rather prudish and think it seems creepy when guys use it. I have seen guys use it in a creepy manner. "God, this cake is so MOIST" with them sort of lingering on the word and licking their lips.

I was recently in Chicago and was having a drink at the Signature Room with some friends and colleagues. One of the ladies inquired about the banana tiramisu on the menu...the bartender described it and said it was..."perfectly moist." All of a sudden the girls all say.."Oh gawd I hate that word...it's so gross..blah blah blah" They went on and on in agreement of how the word just grosses them out etc.. We all had some laughs about it and carried on. Maybe it was just the crowd I was with that evening and they were a bit prudish as it was a work gathering...maybe it's a mid-west thing..who knows...
In any event, this is was the catalyst for the thread...

Yes, its disgusting.
Wet is sexy, dry is a condition... but "moist" is in between, undecided, and needs to sort itself out.
Moist is how we feel down there right before a yeast infection... not wet, not dry, just moist and sticky - icky
Moist is how our armpits feel just before we start to sweat - sticky, icky
Moist was that creepy guys hands - where the hell had those hands been?
And speaking for myself alone, what really killed my love for "moist", was a gay friend many years ago, angry at his partner, telling him to "stick it on that moist spot in the crack of his ass"
