And it also makes the point that where prostitution is illegal, the focus of screening has now become "make sure they're not a cop" than "make sure they're not crazy".

The only thing I learned from that article that actually interested me is that all the guys complaining about how high prices are getting don't realize how lucky they are compared to the prices of 2006. It will be interesting to see if the average price climbs back up to those numbers over the next few years. Enjoy those $200/hr prices while you can, loves. :P

I also found the general trend of prices going down interesting, especially given how everyone likes to complain about prices.
Of course, you'll have localized price differences (maybe Texas prices really -are- higher because of the economy doing better here?), but the overall data is neat to see.
