San Antonio Customs and Procedures (a rant)

Tell me about it. Set up a time to meet more than 24 hours in advance, get confirmation. Call when I'm on my way, no answer, text and get a response 45 minutes later asking me if I know the donations and what I want to do. This actually was supposed to be my first rodeo, but I'm certainly not going to text anything more than "hanging out for an hour". Don't ask me if I just want to hang out or do something else... Texted a few more times with no response and ended up going home and catching up on Game of Thrones. Waste of an afternoon.

So, how common is this?

Snatch - The problem with the Snatch thread is most of the time when you read it someone has already took up the girl's availability in less than an hour after she posted. I doubt that girl will respond to you in the middle of a session.

Late PM's - I find that it will say I'm online up to two hours after I've closed my laptop.
Also I'm guilty of not immediately responding to PM's from visitors that request a certain time when I know it won't work for me. Especially, when I'm busy and just reading through PM's in traffic or at a drive through.

I'm sorry you had such a hard time finding fun while in San Antonio. I hope it worked out in the end.

You did actually log off before closing the laptop, right?

I ask this because if you do close out the browser and such without actually logging off of the site, you will still be seen as logged on for a while.

The only one who uses my computers/phone is me. So I tend to not log out. I'm sure that I'm not the only person that does this. I was not trying to say it was a flaw of the site but a possible reason the OP would PM someone then not get a response in a timely manner. The girl he's trying to contact is not actually there.

To most providers here (and elsewhere) based on what is visible, you are a newbie and you should be looking for newbie-friendly providers.

Believe it or not, while much of San Antonio surrounds may appear to close somewhat early compared to other Metroplexes, much here is open, indeed, wide open if you know where (and who) to look for.

Especially if you are a "regular" or a well vouched, or well verified hobbyist; think P411, for example.

And never mind the "late hours" - think early morning booty calls, too.

"Gotta be at the office a couple hours early this morning, Dear; boss has a taco-breakfast for us at 6:30 a.m." hee-hee! (or he-ing and she-ing!)

Back in the day some of the best fun I ever had was on the way to work.

@The Player- It happens in Houston, but not at the frequency as San Antonio. I think it goes to what Bigandbad1959 said about the quantity and quality of providers…concur, Dallas is best
@SanAntonman- That is sad, it should not be the rule, it should be the exception to the rule
@Supernaut007- Apparently quite common in SA
@ck1942- I am on P411. Granted, I do not have as much experience as you, but I do know enough to check the screening process before contact. I would not send PM to provider that says “You need 5 or more references”, because I know it would be a waste of both of our times.

I also only PM providers who have recently posted or are showing currently online, since I know they will not respond during sessions (hopefully).

My message to potential provider: “I saw your ad on (where ever). I read your reviews and you look gorgeous in your profile pictures. I am in town for the week on business. Here is my P411 info “xxxxx-xx-x-xxxx”. I would love to meet you before I take off. Do you have any time available?”

I contacted 5 providers that I had vetted through reviews, posts, and P411 to make sure that I would meet their screening process and that they met my criteria. The only one that was consistently responsive and professional was visiting from OK.

And that is my point... Even in Houston, if I sent out 5 PM’s, I would hear back from 3-4 of them. There is just a different mentality towards the hobby in SATX I think.

If girls are basing their screening on the number of written reviews then

A) your missing alot of great clients.
B) your missing cash
C) I now understand all the idiotic he shorted me five dollars alerts , because we have some true dumb dumbs among us.

but that's what it seems. it's like the girls only want guys that have high post counts or that write reviews regularly. what ever happened to the low volume ladies that enjoy the low volume gents? wouldn't they rather see the quiet nice guy over the tell all loud mouth?

Unless you're going to a WH, you gotta roll with the punches. The universe is a fickle creature and sometimes stars align (or disalign) and sh!t happens. I've found SA to be one of the better places to hobby and in general, responsiveness on eccie and p411 is solid. I travel quite a bit for work and while I can't say much about dallas and htown vis a vis SA, but even as a relative newbie a bit ago in SA, I was more than taken care of.
