There are as many moderation standards as there are moderators, it seems; some mods are death on stale threads, some couldn't care less how old a thread is when it's bumped.
My understanding is that the administration here does strongly discourage bumping old reviews, but isn't so appalled at bumping old non-review threads, FWIW. But YMMV...
