its not "from each according to their possessions" which is scary enough , but no, its according to their abilities

which is very subjective and quite the matter of opinion, to be determined by the overseers one would presume

as in, "we have determined you have the ability to pick the collective's cotton"

and likewise one's "need" is subjective and not determined by the "needy", but again determined by the overseers
