I watched the first episode of Long Bright River.
Too dreary and depressing.
Will not sit through the remaining 7 episodes.

I heard the fill in guys on the Ticket talk about Daredevil on Disney+. I’m interested based on their comparison to Batman: darker, guy with issues…seems more interesting than the typical Marvel show.

We watched all of The Pitt on Max. Very obviously invoking the early seasons of ER, right down to the now middle aged Noah Wyle playing the wizened attending physician, the single setting and the fast paced action. Wyle is very good but the young cast is hit or miss. The storylines come at a breakneck clip but it could use a stronger throughline in this era of streaming and binge watching. Worth a watch and I will probably check out season 2 to see if they refine it to emphasize what works.

I really like Wild Fire.
It's about race horses and a young girl that turns her life around.

This dropped on Netflix.
I won't watch it.
I do want to know how is the budget $320 million?
It's not even made for the movie theater screen and sound system

Never have, not even one episode.
I did try to watch The Big Bang Theory.
Even Kaley Cuoco cute hotness couldn't keep me interested.
The Sheldon guy is just too fucking annoying for me to get past one season.
I also tried to watch Two Broke Girls.
After one season I gave up.
No Girl ON Girl action.
Those two really need to get together because there is definitely Lezzie tension and attraction between them.

I keep reading this thread for suggestions and I give most a try but usually do not make it past 3-4 episodes. I usually try to find something to watch when I go to bed around 10pm.....I finally gave up and went back to my old friend Seinfeld.....Why? That show puts me into a deep sleep like taking three Ambien.

I used to watch Friends on Thursday night at 7 pm on NBC and when it was over, Seinfeld came on after it at 8 pm also on NBC.
I would turn the TV off.
Then one day I turn the TV on to watch Friends and it was a rerun so I watched Seinfeld for the first time and it was the episode with the envelopes.
It was the lack of care shown by the characters at the end of that episode that made me wanted to find out why they were like that.
So I started watching Seinfeld: the new episodes on Thursday nights and the syndicated reruns on WB at 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm, shown out of order.
When the VHS set came out, I bought all the seasons of Seinfeld and also of Friends.
I must have watched all seasons of Friends and Seinfeld at least half a dozen times each
Seinfeld and Friends are IMO still two of the best TV series ever, next to M*A*S*H, The X-Files, and my all time favorite Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Big Bang Theory isn't in the same ZIP as Always Sunny. Always Sunny is a single camera, no laugh track comedy with some really talented people. Danny Devito is in it and having the time of his life. Caitlin Olson's character on The Mick is very much a version of the one she honed on Always Sunny

in fact I was just about to say, Always Sunny has been described by many as a next generation Seinfeld and I would say that is not inaccurate. It's stranger and more surreal but has the same conceit of the main characters being terrible people redeemed only by being very funny

16 seasons of Always Sunny? Sorry! I can't catch up on that. Too far behind.

They go quick, and it fills the need for absolutely idiotic TV.

I scrolled through all 13 pages of this thread and never saw a mention of
BREAKING BAD!!
This, imho, is by far the best series I have ever seen anywhere. No one wrote the Great Americam Tragedy? Nope Breaking Bad IS the great American Tragedy! A few outstanding memories...
1. Best gun ever... Walter White's little creation at the end of the series.
2. Best train heist ever... the brainpower that went into that caper...
3. Pizza on the Roof!
4. The hay wagon ride across the desert... until it was time to move on
5. Bringing Saul Goodman onto the scene...
6. Best supporting actor/character - Mike Ehrmentraut - a Great American Tragedy on his own.
7. The best fake tequila ever, until it kind of spoiled the pool party
8. Best fake industrial laundry machine ever
Love me some Breaking Bad!
A few runners up...
Ozark - man, ya gotta see Ozark!
Better Call Saul. Like the girlfriend! Cause its All Good!
Squid Games - surprised me how good it was.
Dexter - not exactly the key to the series, but I wish the Fox Hole was close by. Great job for guest actors.. act in a few episodes, get killed, next!
A "mistake" - but I like it anyway - pushing 500 episodes... Grey's Anatomy. I am somewhere around episode 250.
My apologies to whomever may have mentioned Breaking Bad. This is one long thread.

This thread was started by me to ask what people are streaming right now, mainly to find series and movies folks like me may have missed while we were watching the well-known legendary series like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. It’s not meant to be a GOAT discussion, but certainly if someone is just now watching Breaking or Saul then that would be on-topic.
