I don't really call myself a gun guy. I'm prior service and have fallen in I love with the AR platform, so I've bought a Daniel Defense DDM4 and love it to death. Aside from that, I just have my bases rounded. A 12Ga Mossberg 500, two Sigs- a 2022 and 1911, both tactical variants, both are awesome, and Glock 27 because it fit my hand quite comfortably and is just super reliable.
An AR10 one day would probably be the one addition I'd shoot for (ba'dum tsss).

Don't know much about that ammo John, hopefully you will let us know.
FMJ seems to be their only offering in 9mm, so not a top choice for defensive use. As far as range ammo, I find cheaper. Got a few boxes of 9mm for less than 10 bucks a box at Academy the other day. Got a cheap as hell PCC I want to check out and don't think I will need premium or mid level ammo for punching paper. I do buy commercially reloaded ammo for some uses. Getting sub-sonic 147 grain 9mm is a bit pricey at the local stores, however, local gun shows have a vendor that sell pretty good stuff re-man for a lot less. For HD use, I'll stick to Gold Dots, Hydra-Shok, or Hornady.
Stamper, I think you have just about all the bases covered...........well except for a couple of .22s so you can hit the range a lot more often.

.22, 5.56, what's the difference lol
Jokes aside, the fact I hobby more than I hit the range speaks a little about what I'd pay for rounds. Though, that's not to say I can't do both. I really should grab a couple variants of .22s

Light grain count 22s can and will just bounce off whatever.
Have seen it happen twice.
I don't think much of 22s regardless.
I start rookies on a 9mm.

I had to be careful ordering this Black Sheep ammo. They also sell steel cased ammo. My hatred toward Tula steel cased ammo goes back to when I bought a box for my .357 revolver and I practically had to hammer out the used casings. I will never use steel casings or Tula ever again, even though I've read they were OK for AR's and AK's..

I know steel casings tend to cause trouble, and there's likely good and bad brands. Personally I avoid them, but really they should be fine as long as they are new and the firearm is well lubed. Steel doesn't store well at all, and there's no telling how long they've spent from manufacturing to shipping plus time on the shelf.
But overall I still think it's worth avoiding. Steel-on-steel interaction is still a factor at play, and while I doubt it would be all that significant, I think the extractor can get worn over time, maybe more.

Everybody's making cheap - ass MIM internals. Buy replacement firing pins / strikers and extractors by the dozen if you intend to shoot steel cased ammo.

That and keep the chamber clean of lacquer.
Good news with the big beautiful budget bill, there is a provision in the House version to cut out the taxes on suppressors and make buying them just like a regular firearm from a dealer. If the Senate doesn't fuck it up, expect prices to plummet if this happens. If it doesn't come through this year, good news is wait times are way down. Some guys are getting approval the same day as submission. (Hope we never have to go back to the dark ages where a year and a half wait was not unusual.)

Thanks to O'Mike who led me to Texas Gun Trader, I was able to sell two weapons over the weekend. My requirement was that they had to have a LTC and would fill out a bill of sale form that was attached to TGT website.
The AK47 got all sorts of attention, and when I got an email from a user that had a LTC and lived locally it was on. I was picky about who I sold this weapon to, and the buyer clicked all my boxes. Retired military, had just retired from his real world job.
The lever action Rossi got minimal attention, however again I got an email from a member with his LTC and also lived locally.

2A warehouse is good
https://2awarehouse.com/
As for owning 22's I have an SR22 pistol and 10/22 Takedown Backpacker rifle from Ruger. Both solid guns and I got them during the "Planned - Demic"
mainly because most all ammo sources were out of centerfire ammo but 22 was always on the shelf.

Good News John, glad they sold quickly.
Best things about that site is that's free and local sales are easy. You can donate, or pay for enhancements to your ad, but you don't have to. (We can have a civil debate about the bill of sale issue one day over a beverage.)
I need to know where GhostRider shops, .22LR seems to be some of the first to get cleaned out here. It has advantages in an urban environment. Accurate to most city distances, pop sound is hard to trace, large amounts of ammo can be carried, smaller weapons that fire it. on and on...........
Remember now is the time to buy, not in a few months with the projected riots in full swing. For some reason, I feel this may be a violent summer. I've seen ads recruiting protesters popping up on craigslist, etc.

I sold the .357 Rossi because I wanted a .44 magnum. Same gun, just different calibers. I originally tried going back through and buying at https://dahlonegaarmory.com/, however I could not get the companies software to work.
So I did some searching and found a company named https://battlehawkarmory.com/ and like Dahlonegaarmory the prices were within $2 of each other, so I gave them a try. Ordered the gun Monday AM and it was ready to pick up at my ffl (Marksman range in South Houston) 3 days later. Pretty damn great service.
The .44 Rossi was real accurate, however the gun kicks like a mule compared to the .357, however I knew this going in.

Big difference here. .44 magnum Colt clone. dahlonegaarmory.com price. https://dahlonegaarmory.com/product/...mag-7.5-case-h $569.00. In fairness it also says to email for price, but I don't see the price going anywhere close to battlehawk.
Same everything at battlehawkarmory.com https://battlehawkarmory.com/product...mag-7.5-case-h $457.15 and postage is about the same.
