jokacz I do not see you as an ignorant person or an imbecile like Paul but I would like to know something that goes beyond clever catch-phrases.

Observers need to be reasonably open-minded and resist the inertia encouraging us to be or to become idealogues. We can have an ideaology, but becoming slave to a political party's special interests is dangerous.

I'm hearing a lot of talk about how fucked up this country is both socially and financially.

Here's what I feel we need from government:

Make it difficult for those who practice or worse yet practice or encourage the practive of sharia law. These people live by principles which can not be reconciled with liberal values of any kind and rival the Nazi Party in terms of conservatism. Look at what these animals are doing in Sweden. You don't have to be a disciple of Anne Marie Waters to acknowledge that this is a mess.

Keep out illegal immigrants and deport those who represent a drain on the national credit and who disproportionately take advantage of social welfare.

Preserve the stability of the dollar and reinvigorate both trading in big business and stimulating economic activity for small business.

Maintain a powerful national defense.

I could think of a few more things but don't want to write a dissertation.

What do you (or any other people here who despise The Donald) value in an elected official?

Keep in mind Trump has been president for two weeks and is already responsible for joblessness, hate, unnecessarily provoking our enemies, etc, by the liberal media and by celebrities in Hollywood.

What the fuck.

And yes Kellyanne inventing the Bowling Green Massacre narrative is silly and a preposterous mistake.

Shows what happens when people are foced to think on their feet too quickly.

I thought it was worse when she was asked by dyke-extraordinaire Rachel Maddow which soveriegn nation holds the third-largest stockpile of nuclear warheads on Earth and she didn't know, but in that case she at least didn't pretend to know.

But even taking this into account, would you prefer Debbie Wasserman Schultz (the Jew broad)? I doubt it.

You don't? Just look back at his recent posts on this thread. I gave up after seeing 8 in a row childish posts with pictures and childlike points.

I would never guess the guy is an adult after seeing those.

I think he's doing what idealogues do when they think something is important to them personally and they lose.

You make some "common sense" observations. Problem is common sense waved bye bye to the far left a long time ago. Critical thinking isn't high on their list. Easier for them to call people who don't think the way they do as racist and sexist. Less taxing on their brains.

Could you imagine trying to have a real discussion with him? You throw out some facts and real opinions and he gets on the computer and looks for cartoons and silly pictures to make his points.

I guess paying for sex while at the same time spending hours a day on the internet bashing providers is not his only weak point.

That's a fairly common technique on here. Paul, the prototype moron, loves this.

I think it's very analogous to when your favorite NFL team loses.

I am a lifelong New York Giant fan. I bet if I came here in 1991 celebrating the Giants taking out the Bills in Super Bowl XXV frustrated people would be hammering away as hard as they could, at the same time trying to pretend the result of the game was secondary.

People who practice identity politics do this reflexively. It doesn't make them stupid, it makes them desperate.

I don't see it as common sense and I certainly didn't intend it to be a lecture.

It's a list of my own values. Those are some of the things I look for when considering a political candidate. Some of them are things I consider when recruiting people to my own team at work.

People can disagree with me if they want.

It doesn't make them stupid. But it doesn't make them not stupid either.
