I think he’s going to be really good. Time will tell.
And let’s not forget DK Metcalf is their second round pick. I’ll take that 10 times out of ten. A proven commodity.

I agree, it was a solid draft. They got good players at needed positions and didn't reach for anyone.
I'm still curious as to the plan for Pickens though.

Looks like they’re keeping him. The best time to trade him was during the draft. I’m guessing Rodgers is signing and they want to give him legitimate targets.

Sounds like Pickens is getting traded to Dallas for a 3rd round pick. Waiting to see if it happens

Good riddance. His act will play better in Dallas.

Wait until the first time he throws a tantrum because Lamb is getting more balls than he is. Also, at least Tomlin has dealt with headcases like Pickens before so he was probably able to keep him under wraps a little bit. Dallas has a first year head coach.
I'm grabbing my popcorn...

Hopefully Roman Wilson can show something this year.
I'm ok with a down year if it happens. The Steelers currently have 8 picks next year and could have up to 12 with compensatory picks, 5 being in the first 3 rounds.

I know someone that doesn't. Does that count?

AB
Claypool
Diantae Johnson
Pickens
I think I’m missing someone but not a good trend. Are they not looking at their character prior to draft or is Tomlin an enabler? I think both.

AB was never a problem until he got knocked out by Vontaze Burfict. I seriously believe this hit changed him. He became a different person after this:

... Surely would seem that our side is due for a
rebuilding year... And will have a great number of
drafting picks this time next year.
This season-meet has all the advance bells and whistles
of going nowhere... While the Pickens trade will then
make it easier to trade TJ Watt or let him walk.

Ryan Clark said he became an asshole after he signed his first big contract with the Steelers. Troy had fights with him in practice. He showed up late for everything. But he always played hard, produced, until he didn’t show up for the Bengals game.
But he’s pretty funny on X. His Cracker of the Year award show was hilarious. Plus, he’s a big Trump supporter. Leveon Bell too!
