It was over $4.25 a gallon when Baby Bush was in there so you shouldn't be that shocked. No one likes paying this much but it is nothing what it was 20 years ago or being rationed when Crooked Nixon was in there. Then it went from $.25 a gallon to $.60 a gallon which was a real shock.
