Well Mr Gristle, define bum. I find it rich when a schmo on a hooker board who hasn’t accomplished much in life or played a minute of organized sports call a professional athlete a “bum”. Only 32 guys on earth are good enough to be declared a starting QB in the NFL. Some are better than others sure. Has Fields reached his immense potential? No. I’ve admitted that. That’s why they wanted him back. Not because they thought he was a “bum”. I suspect Smith would have got more out of Fields. And he convinced Tomlin and Rooney. But the Jets outbid them. Because Woody Johnson thought he was good enough to guarantee him $30 million.

Before you and Victory call anyone a “bum”, look in the mirror first. Neither of you have been the “man in the arena”. You’re just “bums” on a hooker board.

I said as a starting QB in the NFL he's a loser!
How else would describe a QB with a record of 10-28 (when he QBed the Bears) ... who has played for 3 teams in 5 years?
(Does that look like a resume of a "winner"?)

What you fail to comprehend is football is the ultimate team game. Period. Archie Manning wasn’t a “loser”, he played for a crap franchise. There was nothing he could do. Same with Daniel Jones. Many considered him a bust and a “loser”. But he escapes NY and WhaLa, he’s a winner and an MVP candidate. Because he’s talented and in a better situation. Fields had a winning record with the Steelers. It would have been better if the Steelers D could have come up with some 4th Qtr stops. That was out of his control. Because it’s the ultimate team game.

You and Gristle are mere surface scratchers. Not deep thinkers. Gristle hangs his hat on Shady who’s just a talking head who makes his money giving hot takes. I’m not impressed. I’m not going to call Fields a “bum or “loser” just yet. He may never get a chance to play with a good team. So be it. It comes down to more than just his record as a starter.

He’s a starting QB in the NFL. Who’s played for horrible teams. I’ll go with that. Woody Johnson is an asshole and a horrible owner. Even he admitted the later.

And just what stats might Justin Fields have that would truly indicate his dominating, NFL, QB skill set?

1) 29th in QB rating!
or
2) 30th in TD passes!
