Diversity for the sake of diversity is retarded, as is homogeny. Groups and individuals will naturally gravitate to where their own interests and talents lie, the huge over representation of Indians in the medical field for example. Artificially seeding certain groups into certain societal functions isn’t advantageous to that society or to the individuals being seeded.

Bill Clinton did embrace border security and believed in a well funded police force can't agree with everything he did but I would like to see much more of those ideals within the current Democratic party leadership.

Clinton's efforts to create balanced budgets and promote economic growth should have become a blueprint for the party to build on but that is not what happened.

Currently the Republican party is taking a similar approach they will tolerate and even promote Trump because he is seen as being able to beat Biden but a decade after this election they will not embrace the lessons he tried to teach them on similar issues.

On the issue of diversity it is quite convenient today to argue everything is just fine. That means you are not currently part of any targeted or otherwise unrepresented minorities. It does not mean that we have achieved diversity via natural evolution and progress.

I would gladly vote for another Bill Clinton if the Democratic party had any ability to get that person on a ballot. What passes for a candidate in 2028 on both sides could be such a joke it will make Biden look like an upgrade.

Bill Clinton got it. Border security. Legal hiring practices. Following the law. These are not party issues they are American issues. Fact is from his terms until today Democrats have done as much or more to secure border security as Republicans. None had achieved very much but at least it was a priority.

Granted, Hollywood tends to oversimplify and stereotype about everything, but one theme often raped in those films was the diversity of the US
GI as an infantry unit, and their united purpose in defeating the enemy in either theater of wat.

Typically, there was some guy from the streets of Brooklyn New York, a Polish guy (always called "Skee"), an academic or professional, drafted just short of his PhD degree or medical school, and a guy from an obscure farming community in the American hinterland. Their differences conflicted at times, but also reinforced or supported each other's character.

They had differences and drama, but in the end always came together to defeat the true enemies of civilization.

Diversity is not a bad thing in and of itself. No, diversity of background can be a very good thing in a society . . . but there must also be some form of unity or that society will dissolve on those differences.
