D-Day
Does anyone remember the thousands of men who left it all on line to liberate Europe from Nazi control? I think we should kneel for that... remember your past.... it’s June 6... Wtf?

I don’t think we could do it again. The sacrifice was amazing... I agree, the greatest generation, that is hard to argue... we need one more ...

Back in those days, we sent 18 year olds to kick ass and die for their country.
Now, 18 year olds were given crayons by their colleges and universities to cope with Hillary losing the 2016 presidential election. Now, kids are eating Tide pods.
Life today is about instant gratification. A lot of the newer generation don’t have the discipline, integrity, tenacity, courage and the ability to work hard.

There are almost 9,400 men buried at Normandy, with more than 1,500 mia, we should be ashamed

The World War II Museum is awesome. An appropriate place for the museum as the Higgins boat used for the amphibious landing were made in New Orleans.
It is ironic that the Army was used for this type of assault and not the Marines. However, the Marines were in the Pacific Theater while the Army was in the European Theater.
Don’t forget to check out the Holocaust Memorial in the French Quarter.

Six American divisions, the 1st (Big Red One) , the 29th (Blue and Gray) at Omaha Beach,
The Fourth (IV) and the 90th (TO) at Utah, plus the 101st and the 82nd airborne divisions, plus a battalion of U.S. Rangers to scale the cliffs at Point Du Hoc, that doesn’t even mention the Navy, those boys were giving it hell trying to help .
We should kneel

Checked out the beginning of Saving Private Ryan today.
Don't sell short the 18 year olds in the military. The way we've been grounding our troops in the ground with multiple tours, I know they stand up to the challenge. As unfair as it is to do this to them.

I think the Marines may have used Higgins Boats early in the war, maybe Guadalcanal, technology just improved. I think Higgin’s Boats were commercially designed for logging timber, I may be mistaken
