Uh,uh. This was a reply to Groovy's post where he made a sarcastic comment about the Ft. Hood shooting and I said that there was a reg in place saying that military personal couldn't carry. And then I was relating my experience with Speedracer that yes, back in the day how when I grew up in the military there were no mass shootings ect.
I don't get what your saying here besides the fact that you want to insult me.

And yes. American capitalism's inequality is causing this.

Ridiculous response. I have NEVER seen anyone "brandish" a handgun in any place at any time..

IDK, there's something different in society that is causing this.

HELLO!!! We are talking about soldiers ON A MILITARY BASE! Having a gun at home, off-base is not relevant. Even you understood that when you responded:
"And yes, soldiers do like to let off steam in a military base but for the most part- most are responsible gun owners."
I fully support your right to have guns in your home. I do not support the average soldier on a military base carrying a gun for reasons I have given.

I understand. We lived in military housing for some time and later my friends had brothers who lived in the single barracks.
What I'm saying is way back then - there were no mass shootings from GI's that had guns. And what is the difference between then and now? I don't have the answer to that but it's something to look at.

If Trump wants a second term it will be his. Not because he's a genius but because the Democrats (and I am a Democrat) have absolutely no one who can do anything anymore.
Gone forever are Democratic politicians like Gary Hart, Bob Kerry, William Fullbright, Wayne Morris (who voted against the Tonkin Gulf Resolution) Mike Mansfield, Paul Tsongas and the like.
"Elizabeth Warren?" "Nacy Pelosi?" "Stenny Hoyer?"
This is our leadership?
What a disgrace.

Donald Trump doesn't know when to stop. He is now saying he would have gone into the school if he were in Florida.
This man wants us to believe another lie, does this look like the man who would run towards bullets:

And for all of those misguided folks who thought that--A) Trump would be out of office before his term is up or B) that he would not run again - think again. He's got a new campaign manager and lots of money for the 2020 run. Oh boy, this is gonna be fun. Go Trump!!!

Although I don't believe "A", his first term is not over yet. I thought "B" was possible based on his age and the amount of crap that has been thrown at him in a little over a year. Some true and some false.
As stated in the article:
No one should be surprised by any of this. Literally not one person.

Don't forget Diane Feinstein.
I fully expect "none of the above" to represent the Democratic Party in 2020 in the race for POTUS.

I think it's worse than that...

I think it's much, much worse. Word is that there was a 'pact' between the school administration, headed by an *sshat from Sh*tcago, no less, and the Broward Sheriff department. Appears that too many of the little, beloved, urchins were being expelled and oft times jailed for various crime against humanity. Apparently, it was crushing their delinquency numbers and making it appear that the had a pretty high crime rate, which is important come election season or so it seems.
So the Sh*tcago *sshat came up with the brilliant epiphany to cook the books. Naturally, the reported delinquency rate dropped. Criminal and delinquent behaviors were not logged or reported. Lo and behold, their number plunged. Fast forward a year or two later and whatta_ya_got...?

Just blatant lies by Trump people. Obama's rating was never at 35%. In fact, his approval rating was at 50% in February around this time and 49% in March around this time in his presidency. His lowest approval rating in office was 41%. I guess you didn't learn anything from state tv.

I am so curious who they will put up as their nominee. I know we've said some names before but no one is standing out. I read an article that said the Republicans could win by default if the Dems put out too many candidates.
