True. If you take the total population of the U.S. today (approx. 330 million men, women and children) then that statement is prolly accurate.
But....BUT., more to my point...more people (taxpayers) are "actively involved in the market" than ever before in history; with people investing / contributing into their Individual Retirement Accounts....401K's...SEP's, etc. I believe approximately 54 million taxpayers currently have some sort of retirement plan that is tied into the market (ie: stocks, mutual funds, commodities, etc).
Now...if you're talking about 90% over the actual valuation of the entire market being owned by only 10% people (and/or corporations)....that's a topic I have no data on to either back up or refute your claim. After some research I may have more on that and then we'll talk.
