About Mokoa's Closure
I do not mention new handles of a lady unless she requests it. In this case it was already posted on the more wide-open BP, and again - she requested it. Still, I did not post it until after Mokoa 'questioning'.
Guess he did not like being left out of the process. She was handling it through an admin.
I resent my integrity being questioned - by a Mod who should know better.

I have not, do not and will not accept that a member has given permission to a third party, especially one who is not an ECCIE Staff member, to make public a handle change that was done for privacy or security reasons. It must come to me from the member his/herself.
I have stated before in these forums that I take the privacy and security of the members here very seriously. That includes yours, Footlong.

Perhaps, mokoa, you should become more 'informed' before you start firing off warnings. In this case, you could have checked first with the admins above your pay grade.
You could have handle this privately, but chose to be publicly rude to a member in good standing. You crossed the line.

First...
I am aware that the Admins are handling her account change. After all, they are the ones who handle such matters. That is fine. However, it is irrelevant to my issue with you.
Second...
If you want to start discussing the crossing of lines, you should start with yourself since you crossed the line first when you publicly outed the handle change in a matter where it was obvious that should not have been done. It is not your place to do that. It is the provider's and the provider's alone. If she needs assistance she can involve the Staff here. That is one of the reasons we are here for.
You have been around long enough that you should have known better than to publicly out a handle change in a matter where the privacy and security of a member was involved. Imagine, for a moment, if someone here did that to you. I do not have to imagine where that would go.

With all due respect to you FL...but, I was wondering about that thread as well. If a provider's account was compromised...and she HAD to change her handle...why would she want her new handle linked to her old one...made public? (lol) Just sayin.

Wow. C'mon y'all. No arguing. Everyone needs to chill out and just relax. I think everyone had good intentions in the matter. No more should be said. Much love to everyone *peace sign*

I like Hottassamelia's solution to the whole matter....(which could have been handled privately through PMs in the first place)..LOL

As i understand it from the several threads started in regards to this issue it does not seem the handle was compromised for reasons she would not want her new handle linked to it (stalker, someone outing her, etc.) It seems that her handle is being used by someone else but I am not sure.
It would not be the first time a provider linked her new handle to her old one.
I get where Mokoa is coming from if he was not in the loop. Yet, i also understand where Foot is coming from. In my years here and on the previous site i dont remember Foot ever trying to compromise someone's security. Heck, I am pretty sure he is one of the few that says anything when old handles get brought up. I think the situation could have been handled differently. We are always told that because we don't see something being done it does not mean its not and yada yada yada with other members that seem to warrant mod action. We are told it is done privately. So why the "you been a bad boy" post for Foot.
Just my opinion.

Malaya, I'm just trying to give some feedback...as a provider who's seen this type of thing happen...many, many times.
Chuck, both threads mentioned that her current handle/email/websites, etc., had been compromised. My point is, if that assistant is giving her that much trouble...by openly posting SG's new email here...her assistant can see her new email just as we can...and, still create havoc for her.
SG can always send out PRIVATE messages and email to her clients, until her issues are resolved. That would seem more secure for her situation...imo.

I didnt read this whole thread, but technically, he didnt out her, he posted the old slave g's email. That's all. I dont really think it's a big deal. If he had said, for example, "Slave G is now posting as (fill in blank)." Then that would be outing. No? And if she was upset, wouldn't she reply? Im not taking sides, this is just my opinion on the matter. Plus, we know FL and he would never do something to harm a provider

Pepper, what they're talking about is on the other thread started by FL. He did post her new handle...but, as FL said...he was asked by SG to do so. What SG doesn't know is the rule...relating to this type of situation. Apparently, it's no different on eccie as it was on aspd. I think FL had good intentions for posting the thread for SG...but, rules are rules.
I've been given warnings and an infraction, by moderators, for an ad violation...which seemed biased and silly to me...but, hey...rules are rules. (lol)

Why couldn't the provider just post in Coed that she had changed her handle. Why would she need to get a hobbyist involved?

Then how was she working with the Administrators without internet access?
