"This Court arrives at the necessary conclusion that there was neither 'a rebellion or danger of a rebellion' nor was the President 'unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States' in Oregon when he ordered the federalization and deployment of the National Guard," U.S. District Judge Karin J. Immergut, who was appointed by President Donald Trump in his first term, wrote in her ruling.

We fully expect an appeal, but it's good to see yet another Trump appointment do the actual job rather than be a rubber stamp for this admin.

If we step away from this being Trump, it's a pretty cut and dry, very conservative ruling prohibiting the government from encroaching on the rights of the people.

Call me crazy, but having a U.S. President declare war on his own citizens sounds kinda "third world banana republic" to me.
