I'll give you that, on a technicality. The commander in chief of the armed forces of the country is in charge of the armed forces. No doubt about that. Nobody is arguing against it.


Being in command of the army verses serving in the army are two entirely different things. I bet if you approached any active or retired marine and told them that trump is just as much as soldier as they are, that you'll exit the conversation with a chipped tooth and a broken nose.haha

He is not in the military, he is the commander and chief and the CIC must be a civilan and that of course applies to all of the former CICs that you mentioned.

Out military is run by civilians by design.
The constitution states it and it is upheld by the national security act of 1947.
The president is the commander and chief only congress has the power to declare war "something commander bonespurs needs to be set stright on" and the sec def must also be a civilan.
