Very simple all electronic transactions leave a trail that can connect the two parties. Cash or barter (as in La Grange chicken ranch) does not leave a trail. Cash has been used for decades don't try to complicate it.

I be she will argue this point.

Except for bitcoin being pretty "dark web" ish and not traceable really.

Paypal is cool, but there are fees. Bitcoin you gotta look as an investment more than liquid cash. The pricing fluctuates so pretend John A gives you $200 in bitcoin for today's date. Next week it could be worth only $140. Or who knows, maybe $1400. It's definitely a risk that you should be comfortable choosing. If you need the cash, don't offer it.

Samcro is right that cash is king but crypto does have some advantages. For instance, I have given providers a crypto-tip as a token of goodwill before we meet so that they can get comfortable with the wallet/transaction and like cash it can be anonymous. I have actually wanted to start a referral system so that any provider who acts as a reference for me I would tip a small amount of crypto. I think it would be worth it for providers to download a wallet from the App Store to at least have the ability. I don’t do Paypal because it releases personal info.

I’ve known sex workers who have had their PayPal accounts frozen (and money seized) because of accepting funds for sexual services. I would never, and I mean never, use PayPal for work.

Paypalsucks.com

Love PayPal for eBay and buying stuff for myself. But I keep that separate.

Not a fan of bitcoin. I just cannot afford to lose money and bitcoin seems iffy to me. All of that online currency sounds provocative and almost sexy in theory.

I do barter, and accept amazon emailed gift credit and if I know you, I’ll even take a credit card. But that’s as far as I go and even then, I do limit alternative payment arrangements and do ask, if interested in paying me in a different fashion than cash, that they tell me and get an OK first.

With PayPal, and even credit cards, those services can come back to bite you.

Good luck with what you decide to do. The above is my opinion, only.

Hugs,
Elisabeth

What she said, for sure.

The Bros. Benji, Ulysses and Alexander Hamilton are your best friends.

But buy and use a currency pen just to keep your clients honest.

This is such good advice especially if you're seeing a lot of new clients.

A few years ago, there were some guys in north Dallas who somehow, were paying ladies in counterfeit bills.

One of my dearest friends was ripped off for hundreds of dollars and she wasn't alone.

So using a currency pen is such a good suggestion!!!

Digital currency is safe, fast, and efficient. One can use Monero so the money can't be traced.
