Fell in love with S.Carolina/Myrtle Beach and...

I realize now that I need to be near a beach to be really happy. My dream is to live down there,but living does indeed require resources so...For the ladies that are longtime locals or have relocated to the area; How is it? Is hobbyism alive and well, how about year round after the tourists are gone? What types of entertainers are in demand? Which types are there a seemingly surplus of? I know thats a tough question,being as we're all individuals, maybe this is an area that our gentlemen could provide valuable feedback on, I'm really trying to gauge if it would be worth it to travel there for an unspecified amount of time,lol.
