I strongly feel that the outcome Mayoral election in NYC has a much larger importance to the Nation as a whole than just the civil administration of New York.
If elected, Mandani will have political legitimacy and influence beyond the North mEast. The same is true to a lessor extent for the mayoral election in Minneapolis, and for the same reasons.
What is at stake is not the trappings of socialism brought by FDE's New Deal I(social security} or bu LBJ's War on Poverty programs (Medicare, Medicaid etc). Both of them had a vision of a better America however much one might disagree with them.
I am convinced that these two local candidates have no such vision for a better America, but quite the opposite. It is my belief that each oil them want to destroy American society as we kn ow it today. What happens in Minneapolis and New York this year could diversely affect American Society for decades and beyond.
We should alll care who wins.

I predict the opposite. Its going to hasten the collapse of the left as the Dems go full retard Commie. Then the communists can be made into Good communists in the violence that will follow.

For those who say it is not my problem, just wait. Mamdani will be mayor, then senator or governor, and then Dem candidate for POTUS in 2028. He will traverse the same rapid trajectory as Obama. Then, yes, he will be our problem.

... I think that once this Mamdani bloke gets started, he'll
be under such scrutiny that a lot of the people - and NOT
just over New York-way - will surely recoil from the
socialism and what-not... I don't feel that a year from now
Mamdani will be as popular as he seems to be now.

As I wrote in post #31, the ramifications of theselocal elections in New York City and Minneapolis will have far reaching affects on the nation ss a whole.
Please re-read post #31. to understand why I care and why we all should care about what happens in NYC.

You're right New York isn't your problem. You already live in a communist state, lol.

This begs the question of if the poll excluded all non-voters.
I'm left wondering who Mamdani will tax to pay for his ideas when more large businesses outfits move elsewhere. In today's world, instant reliable communication is available anywhere there's a cell tower.
