Trust me, in the future I will not contact a provider unless at some point they are able to speak over the phone.
Then it would appear we were in agreement all along.

There are some providers who won't book until they've talked with you on the phone, for exactly the same reason - they want to get a sense of who you are. But just texting "can we talk" reeks of "I'm a time-waster". Make clear that you are making contact because you are interested in booking, then ask to talk. I suspect that most will be happy to (if it is really the girl you are dealing with) and if not, feel free to move on.

Personally, I never book via text, particularly with someone I've never met, it is the most impersonal form of communication that I can think of.

Seems WALDT and that includes how to set up a "date".

I say roll with the punches. (Be flexible) Be polite and as much to the point up front as you are comfortable.

Texting is a bitch. I do not have a hobby number for a number of reasons, and number one being: I loathe the short hand message of "are you available". Am I available for what? Coffee? Drinks? Tutoring lessons? I am not suggesting that this was the conversation that went between you (the OP) and the provider in questions, but I hope you see the point I am drawing.

Personally I prefer email or private message. Through those portals, it is easy to state who you are, what you want, and why you are contacting me. I think it is also good form to follow up any agreement to meet with a phone call (I always call from a blocked line). However, this is just my personal preference. Everyone here is different and it is difficult to gauge someone's preferences if they aren't clearly outlines in their showcase/profile.

I think that this whole culture is subject to interpretation, which can be frustrating. Thank you (OP) for raising awareness to a prevalent issue

First off, I would like to state, that he was texting me--and I'm completely indy. (And also, that I read the first few replies then just decided to jump in and explain myself)

I understand that I did come off as rude, but when I said I could not talk, I meant, I was busy with other things (driving, thus the short responses). And, had he said "This is so-and-so, from ECCIE, I got your number from your showcase....etc, etc" then proceeded to say that he would be interested in setting an appointment (meaning that he meant business, ie--not a time waster), then I would have replied accordingly. But as was stated above, a vague "hello" text with no context (also to a number that I also used previously while on bp and no longer respond to requests in response to any of my previous ad's) or mention of ECCIE or P411, I feel /NEARLY/ justified in my response. Especially since I have seen a lump of time-wasters, etc, over the past week or so.

Please accept my apology. Things could have, and definitely should have, been handled better on both ends.

Also, would like to mention that I do not appreciate my text messages being posted on this forum (which, I believe, to be against forum guidelines? Or maybe I read that somewhere else. Mods?)

Me thinks you outed yourself In another thread you represent how you have refined your "booking " process over the last two months. Seems like there might be some glitches.... YES? No worries... Rome wasn't built overnight.

Dear Ms. Stefany

Lets brush off that Mensa card you are proud of and " think smart"!

1. Never brag about Mensa
2. Never spit into the wind.
3. Never engage in a pissing contest with SL.
a. he never gives up ...
b. he probably is a founding member of Mensa.. or he sells the T-Shirts for Mensa
c. Even if you win , ( which you wont) you Lose

4. Always shower before a "Date"

Oops.. my phone ringing and it might be an opportunity ! Gotta Run

I always shower before a date. I never give up, either. And I never deal with total arrogant, pretentious d-bags who think that they're the ones that are right. And to be frank, the guy who contacted me gave little to no information as to why he contacted me so of course it was natural to respond the way that I did.

You guys can say what you want, but it's the clients like you that make it hell for everyone else. The fact that you guys can't see that us providers can make our business how we feel necessary or how we want (which is why we are independent) is kind of BS. There have been countless posts by you guys whining and moaning about how this one provider did this or how she did that or how her "TCB was terrible", how about this? Stop making the forum negative and just move on. Don't see her. Don't go on and on and on complaining how so and so is terrible and act like you're in high school about it. We are all adults here. If you choose not to see someone for a particular reason, then say so and give FACTS, sans your sense of entitlement because you're paying for a service. You COULD say, so-and-so did/said this and I will not be seeing her again.

For the most part, everyone I have met and had a session with will agree that I'm a great person. And if you're well known for continuing a thread just to belittle people, obviously we know there's something wrong there.

I deal with enough BS day to day getting texts with "hey", "hello", or at 4 am "r u avail?". You guys do need to learn to treat it as a business as well, and wait a minute...doesn't TCB ACTUALLY MEAN, taking care of business? Well, duh.

So again, we are all here to enjoy this and make it a good experience for everyone. Not belittle people and have pissing contests over the internet. Chances are, if you approach a provider properly, you won't and should not have any problems with her TCB. Lesson learned.

If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it. I did apologize because the whole situation could have been handled better on both ends. The bashing and hate needs to stop.
