I am completely with you though. I constantly have people asking me if I cross the boarder for work as well--to which I reply:

"Now why on earth would I take that Risk when I already have the privilege of being in this great country on the other side of the boarder?--U.S. Is for a Vacation/Shopping..NEVER Business"

I'm not sure if certain people are so full of malicious intent and are trying to cause trouble for you, or are genuinely interested in your coming over there to see them. But spreading rumors is just uncalled for.
