It’s preseason fellas, no need to get concerned. Coaches do a lot of crazy shit during preseason. Feeling out the younger players/rookies, trying silly plays they may end up using or not. A lot of silly stuff happens in preseason. Not to mention, keeping their starters healthy.

Hell, I remember several years ago the Lions went undefeated in the preseason and only won 3 games in the regular season lol.
