No one gives a fuck what Trump has to say. That loser lost bigly. Only a fool would still follow him.

And how is that the fault of Governor DeSantis? You aren't under the impression that DeSantis is telling people not to get vaccinated are you because you would be wrong. You aren't under the impression that DeSantis is in any way hampering the ability of any Florida citizen to get the vaccine are you because you would be wrong. All DeSantis is doing, is recognizing the right of the individual, over the government, to make this decision for themselves and that is a very, very powerful message from where I'm sitting in the state of Florida. Right now I see demonstrations in every state were mandated vaccine proof will be necessary to enter into any indoor venue. Every state. Every one of those people is likely to vote Republican. The only question is, are there going to end up being more people for individual liberty or those who want to be ruled by the collective.
People in Florida are not dying because of anything DeSantis has done. His opponents suggest they are dying because of things he will not do which is mandate vaccines and masks. Look around, there are literally millions of Americans taking that stance.
There are four states where the spread is running out of control right now, Florida, LA, Ark and Missouri. In Florida you have school teachers dying in bunches because of complications from CoVid.
I have not seen any story about school teachers dying in bunches which is why it important for you guys to back up statements like that with proof if you want to be taken seriously. You may be right, I'm not saying you wrong but I haven't seen any such stories but lets say it's true. Again, how the hell would that be DeSantis fault if teachers don't want to get vaccinated? Right now the big story in Florida are the kids coming down with Covid but they aren't in school yet which means any story about kids getting Covid from other kids in school is a false story. They are more than likely getting it from either vaccinated ( with Delta viral loads ) or the un-vaccinated. Everything I read from world wide studies, still to this day suggest that kids will not give each other Covid in school but the teachers if un-vaccinated and they are resisting being vaccinated, might give it to the kids.
To win the 270 electoral college votes the republican must win 12 out of 16 battle ground states (sometimes referred to as swing states). If DeSantis gets the republican nomination I predict he would keep Florida, Texas, NC and get back Georgia (who recently changed their voting laws). I don't see DeSantis winning any other state that Biden won.
Then you are not considering the possibliity of millions of people who voted for Biden, concluding after 4 years of his mistakes, that they made a mistake and will swing back to the right. Not the hard core Democrats for sure but there are moderate Democrats, Manchin comes to mind and there are millions of Independents who might very well decide Biden did a bad job.
He would need to win the same way Trump won. Mich, Penn and Wisconsin will stay Blue and vote for the democrat.

You have no idea who is or who isn't going to stay blue. The reason that 2024 will favor Republicans is because there will be a referendum on what Democrats did for 4 years not what Republicans did ( to a large degree ) and if they did a poor job and it sure looks to me right now that they are fucking up left and right on to many issues to even count.

HF, here is the link on the school teachers that died from CoVid19. Do you follow Broward county?
I don't think DeSantis has a prayer in Mich, Penn or Wisc. We'll see.

The fall of Kabul is/was inevitable, IMHO. Trump was trying to get us out of Afghanistan. He knew staying there was a losing effort. I'm not going to pin this on Biden. It's been obvious for years that the Taliban would take back Kabul, once the US troops left. No amount of training and armament of Afghan troops could overcome the will of the majority of people to live in an ass-backwards 12th Century style Islamic state. Once we got OBL, that should have been the end of our involvement in Afghanistan.

Excellent post! If you decide that you need to stay for a while, have some sort of exit plan. We have been their twenty years.
