PEE OR NOT TO PEE.

I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes & the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem). I am seriously required to have one taken on a random basis, as many times a year as they want or see fit. ( Still I have no problem with this)

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT----doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

P.S. Just a thought, all politicians should have to pass a urine test too!

i think its a good point and valid. if onehad to take a urine test to get govt aide, im sure thered be a decline. buuut, im sure someone would figure a way to get over the system as well.

Im a strong supporter of drug testing for public assistance, do the right thing, you dont get to have extra fun on the taxpayers dime.... on your own, thats your decision...

Waste of money. Believe me, the scammers know how to beat the drug tests. You might get them once but the retest will be passed.

I usually try to be Devil's advocate, but I have no issues with this. Other than who is going to pay for the non random drug test.

We are... Don't we pay as Taxpayers for everything anyway? If it made a difference, then I have no problem with it being paid for by our taxes. It would pay for itself in a very short time.

Your idea is nonsense. If your criteria for testing is people on goverment assistance, that includes all goverment employees, everyone on unemployment, all politicians, all military, and every employee of every company that works goverment contract..we can keep going with this.why not test everyone in the whole country!..complete nonsense!
