Probably because most of us check, and we check well - after awhile it would be hard to get all but currency manufactured by another country by most of us. I can't spot the Korean, EU or Iranian bills - and neither can the Treasury in many instances, but 99% of the counterfeit stuff isn't that good . . . a GOOD counterfeiter with really good bills isn't going to risk paying for pussy with anything other than "good / clean money" (genuine currency obtained by floating bad into the currency stream). I mean, think about it, you don't take extra chances (usually) on getting yourself busted for a felony (by having fake bills on you) while committing a misdemeanor, especially if you have a good thing going with really, really good counterfeit currency. Even Darwin award winners aren't usually
that stupid - simply because to be a
good counterfeiter, you're by definition usually smarter than the average criminal.
However, many is a guy that THINKS he has bills good enough to pass for real, and he'll try to pawn them off on another criminal (in this case, a prostitute), as the inept counterfeiter believes (erroneously) that one criminal is willing to work with another, and he finds out or has found out very quickly that it is a bad idea to stick a lady with a bunch of fake bills . . . but he'll sure as shit ASK if we will take them when he gets horny enough.
I must admit, this activity really has waned in the last few years as color lasers have been equipped with chips that prevent the counterfeiting of currency - but the old printers that will do it are still out there, and a man starving for a good lay will do just about anything. I'd say I get asked once every other month or more.
This was usually never of issue when I contracted full-time for an Agency, or when I still do occasionally contract with an Agency in say Vegas, or out West . . . but it is somewhat an issue in KC, and in St. Louis, Chicago, Philly, hell, it is everywhere, just some places more than others - and out East, they do sometimes just try to pay with it.
