I am watching this unfold now and the whole thing is incredibly tense. What I find astonishing is that George W Bush used his executive privileges more than any other president in history. These Repubs are accusing Obama of being excessive in the use of the executive privilege and that is simply not true. Yet these Repub knuckleheads are carrying on. I also read that they were asking for things that legally Eric Holder could not provide. That it was illegal for him to do so. This is just another witch hunt, vamping up as much as they can to make this current President and his administration look bad and to give them much grief.

I really think this has to be the worst batch of elected officials (republicans) I have ever seen. There whole mantra is "obstructionism" and "destroy" at all costs. They couldn't care less about this country or its people. I am so disgusted.

Obama (thru Holder) schemed to let guns walk out the back door undetected and untraceable. The DOJ/ATF didn't try to follow the weapons as they landed in Mexico and the hands of the drug cartels.

Holder should be held accountable for murder in my opinion. He is getting off easy with a Contempt of Congress charge.

Richard Nixon is laughing his head off. This is a cover up, plain and simple. Executive privilege is only for national security, which this is not. This is an outrage, and the President is up to his neck in this.

This will fail a court challenge, but it may keep Holder's criminal activity undisclosed until after the election. That is all this is about.

The comparison to Watergate is dead on. If a Republican president or his AG had done something like this, his administration would be under siege by the media. In Obama's case, main stream media is basically not covering the story. It's sickening.

Woodward and Bernstein made their careers by essentially destoying Nixon's ability to stay in office. The incentive for liberal reporters to bring down the Obama adminstration is just not there.
