Nena, yes...people need help year round; however, the Holidays are especially difficult for needy families, those without families, and the homeless. This is why we try to do EXTRA around this time of year.

I'm without famiy and the Holidays are especially difficult. So, it always makes me feel much better, when someone is thoughtful and thinks of me, not just during the year...but, at a time when I'm feeling a little less jolly.

I think it's great that everyone at least gets around to helping others. I know of a few families that need help this year. I am trying to do everything I can to make those kids smile Christmas Day. The point of giving is truly from ones heart. I am going to be offering a Super Special myself Thurs- Sunday. Everyone have a safe and wonderful Holiday Season!!!

@ pk .. I'm running specials as it is but on top n extra specials for who donate.. its just an incentive.. plus everyone is hvn a hard time including myself. I have no fam, no hubby no kids n if i can give bk n help then goid for me .. there is no wrong way to give bk.. . @ Wm get over it.. its "pathetic" I'm not doing this for u but for others!!! .. its funny how u try n turn it around. We all have different ways on how to collect charity for those in need, and in my opinion there is no right or wrong way. I think it shows great moral character when someone helps out the less fortunate so I give props to all of you ladies that do regardless of how you do it.



With that said lets put our differences aside and focus on the topic of discussion wth the spirit of the season in mind.

You see, a few weeks later, I was enjoying a nice conversation with some like-minded friends when this young, strikingly gorgeous Latina spotted me and bee-lined it directly over to this happy little group, and without hesitation or remorse, looked me squarely in the eyes and amidst our group's conversation said, "OMG! Ohh I looked into the animal shelter situation n last week I went to petsmart n 2. Feed stores and had a very positive response n had a lot donated n I was very suprised on how much was donated..... Also my cousins hubby is helping me out with gft cards for heb so if there are any familys who need it who u know of let me know .. A lot of familys struggle even though they aren't homeless or just financially struggling..
