I know I'm bumping an old post, but I just wondered if others had thoughts they wanted to add to this thread, seeing we just turned the clock back again.

I was once working in Norway during Autum/fall, staying in cheap hotels outside of town, no friends (but a couple of colleagues I would go out for a drink sometimes). Even the food (in those days) was terrible. Drink of course very expensive. Hobbying seriously illegal.
Wasn't much fun, but I was earning money, and flew back to London every weekend.

I love the cool Houston days - last Thursday was great. Too warm for me today (Sunday).

The other bummer is that there are few places to run in the dark in the evening - Memorial park is the only safe place I know.

Don't be sad.............you're too sweet to be sad!
I like the feel of the cooler weather, but the early nights get to me for the first couple of weeks or so. After that, the cold weather sets in and I switch to not liking the cold weather. I guess it's a pick your poison thing for me.

Now now... you are going to get people to talking and telling stories!!!
There is plenty of fun to be had with Source of Joy.... I prefer to have "lively" moments one-on-one.
.... need me to refresh your memory Mr. Proper??

Besides, you know me.. quite the honest one.. might deflate an ego or two, or prolly tell some fucktard/silly hooker something that will get me points... It's best that I not start it, maybe just participate! |

Its been so long that i do need a one-on-one memory refreshment course Miss Abigail - that is if somehow we can find some time.

No one will question your honesty and frankness that much i am sure of - at least not the ones who have had a chance to meet you.

Now before people start accusing us of derailing this thread completely lets get this back on track.

So what was this thread about - something about DJ getting sad during this time of the year.

Do what I do and tell your Psychiatrist you hear voices or are really depressed. Get some killer meds and you're good for three months. But for the love of God NEVER say you wanna hurt yourself/others. You will end up at IntraCare, West Oaks, or Riverside for a few weeks.

Nope. I like the melancholy of fall. I also like the cooler weather. I few years ago I was down, depressed for reasons unrelated to climate; just going through a bad time, as can happen to anyone. I stepped outside after the onset of fall, saw the tree leaves falling and felt solidarity with the falling leaves of fall, as I felt solidarity with all those who were going through hard times, that year. That was soothing.

If you persist in refusing to offer decent moderation then there is no point in responding to my posts. Respect is not an entitlement.

My appologies for showing appreciation for a well written thought.... Haven't you been asked politely about your public attacks on my performance as a moderator?

Again..... my appologies for taking time to express my admiration of a very eloquent post.... I will make sure to refrain in the future......
