Much the same feelings I have... especially after spending a year in West Africa in the mid 90's.* Having known of the Ugandan situation for a long time... I have continued to be surprised that it has taken the U.S. this long to become involved at "some" level!

Call me cold and callous... but one of my recommendations has always been to send sharpening stones to Uganda. If you're going to chop my head off with a machete... please do it with a sharp one... rather than having to hack-hack-hack away!

Can anyone please tell me of any "good news " that come from the African Continent in our lifetime?* I can only think of "one" example....

Put me in the "bring home the troops" ladies , camp.

You are correct, it is a debate between, "bring home the troops" ladies and neo-conic liberal gayrods.Quote:

Which camp are you in LL? Because a neo-con is just a fuc'n former liberal nation builder Democrat that is now a Republican nation building liberal. Nation Building is a liberal endeavor.

If so, none of the above.

But we know what "camp" you are in:

.... the "bring home the troops" ladies' camp!

Diamonds.
And more recently probably the largest oil reserves on Earth.

And as for all of those whining about spending U.S. "treasure" on producing oil overseas .... who would you rather have the oil?

So you admit that our military is being used to support the oil companies? People are dying so the oil companies can profit? And you support this?

Of course he does. The sad part is he is not smart enough to realize that oil is a world resource that all those other countries could never use. Without our consumption the price of oil would be 10 dollars and the ME countries wouldn't have shit by way of money. They need us amore than we need them. We would all be driving smaller crs but the flip side is we would not have dead soldiers in that part of the world protecting oil profits.

I didn't know that this was ever in dispute. How else can you explain Iraq? Or even Kuwait, for that matter.

Then you ask this stupid question after being the one who brought up Africa instead of staying on topic with Uganda. Please try and keep up, I know you can as I can't keep leading you around by the britch's!

Ok, at least we have now determined that some on here support sending American troops in harms way in order to protect oil company profits. I don't.

	WRONG THREAD!!

As TTH inferred.... at best, the Ugandan / LRA situation is a humanitarian dilemma... one that has gone on for a long time.... Joseph Kony is a POS that needs to "cease to exist"!* Whether it's our (USA's) responsibility to see that it happens , or not?... I agree... but therein, lies the dilemmaQuote:
