Why do you participate in this hobby?

because I don't get any at home and trying to date "on the side" in the civilian world comes with too much emotional baggage and trouble.

I hobby mostly because I love spending time with women, and for the sense of intimacy. I've always had close female friends throughout my life... I just love the way they think and connect in a different way than my male friends.

I'm most attracted to providers that are caring and sensuous, who realize that what some of us need is simply an oasis for an hour or two... a respite from the daily grind and stress... to luxuriate in the touch and caress of warm skin, tender moments, and breathless release. My most memorable experiences have been with providers that were slow and sensual and caring. I'm not at all attracted to providers whose ads make them sound like nasty raunchy porn stars, but I understand why others might go that route.

For me, I guess it's less about the physical act and more about the intimacy and eroticism. In fact, many of my favorite experiences have been FBSM rather than FS. It's hard to describe, but once you've been with an FBSM provider who really knows what she's doing... well, you'll know what I mean.

I often think our society would be a lot healthier if more people hobbied. I've spent time overseas where hobbying is legal, and it's a comforting feeling just knowing that you can always get some. It takes the edge off and restores balance. Essential for a healthy life!

im in same boat as maximum, single parent and working all the time. i get a break every now and then. i just want to get out and enjoy myself and spend my time with a nice lady. i love a great conversation. i might be odd but way i look at it is. you are with a great female, you can relax and be yourself and talk about just about anything. they are not looking at you as a potential bf. so there is no stress about trying to impress her and just be yourself. to me that is a great thing and very enjoyable. the one provider who i have not had the privilege of meeting in person but would love to spend a whole day with is lynnT. i would want to see some more of her other work. also pick her brain a little on some things. i know i would learn a lot and to me that would be a perfect day. as far as when i would stop hobby? well honestly i would stop when i found right person.

I've had the pleasure of meeting some great people and have had some great times. I have been fortunate in that I have only met top notch providers and have not had to deal with any drama. I'm pretty certain that a lot of my good fortune has come from getting to know people on this site (and the old one) and being able to communicate with them long before we meet.

Oh, and the sex has been pretty good too!

I agree with many of the previous posts. Im a single parent. I have dated since my ex but honestly it always leads to a relationship no matter what the girl says. I dont want or need that in my life at this time. And I can spend a couple hundred and know the outcome or spend a couple hundred with dinner and drinks etc and hope on th outcome. No strings attached is nice.

Havn't been on in a while, but found this thread interesting.

For me it was pretty much just about the sex and variety, things get "stale / boring " at home. I don't really get the intimacy people talk about, because deep down you know that its about the money and you are getting pretty much the same treatment as the next guy.

With that said since I have found a girl that I have completed connected with I have not hobbied nor even care to anymore. So the answer to when I would stop, I guess its now. And I'm not broke yet either!

For me it's really difficult to get sex outside of the hobby. I have women that are interested, but after some of the women I've met in my life time I know that they want a lot more than sex. When all of your relationships are accompanied with so much drama it really turns you off to seeing people outside the hobby. So I really enjoy the intamacy, fun, and sex without having to worry about any drama or unreasonable expectations.

Same situation. And like someone else said "I know it takes two...." but my S.O. has almost ZERO interest in sex or real intimacy of any kind. I shoulda got out long ago. But I could not take living in a different house than my kids.

PG, I've known you for a long time, on both this board and TERB. We should really get together for a cold one (and some NF SC fun!) sometime....
