There is advertising then there is marketing, I see nothing wrong with with what Mslove or others have posted, it is just good marketing. sometimes those posts turn into really good threads.

It also helps me know who is available cause I tend to be a last minute type of guy.

1. My thread was not directed to anyone in particular. I wasn't rude or attacking to anyone. I wasn't being insulting or a "hater".

2. mslovesbjs, your business is just that.... YOUR business If these posts are allowed then by all means go for it. You are a marketing genius. And I am sure because of that your business is booming.

3. I am not talking about someone who does this once because one thing came up, I am talking about the non stop things coming up.

4. Why would I get bent out of shape? Well let's see, one week I posted an ad in the actual ad forum on a wednesday, then the following week I posting an ad on monday. Thinking this is a whole new week, and I am available sooner.. no problem right? Wrong. My ad was removed because we are only allowed to post an ad every 7 days. Now in order to catch that back up to Monday when I need to post it, I will need to skip an entire week of advertising. So yes It can be frustrating to see endless "non ads" that every one can plainly see are nothing more than that.

5. Instead of getting all pissy with me mslovesbjs, I also asked the question if these posts actually help your business? So calming down and taking the more professional road would have been helpful.

6. No matter the outcome, I won't be "having stuff come up" every 2 days or every week. I cannot force myself to make a "i need help ad". I understand that we have hard times, but personally I have too much pride to do that. With the amount of money out there that we can make to say I am having money problems please come see me makes me look like a fool. And poor with money management. IMHO.

7. Marketing would be sonya's thread about if you wake up horny in the morning. Excellent marketing!! And those aren't the posts I am referring to.

I apologize if this came across as mean or bitchy, it is 7 in the morning, and I have had my red bull yet lol

A while back, there were a few gals, who did some threads -"I was just playing around with the camera and thought you guys would enjoy these new nekkid pics I just took".

Now, that was great marketing. What guy is gonna complain about nekkid pics? OK, maybe Budman. But he complains about everything.

And it sure gets a provider's name out there.

Sophisticated imbedded marketing is an art, and when done right, works great.

I completely agree. (well almost, I dont know budman so I can't agree with that.) Marketing is entirely different than advertising. Good marketing can be respected and learned.

Using this site for marketing and advertising is fine. What irratates me are the threads that scream "Look at me". How many times can you say "Happy Monday" (I know once a week). If you put some thought into a thread that will generate some interesting banter then that is good marketing. These other lame threads just show you don't give a shit about what you post but just want to make sure you keep your name out there. IMO that is not marketing.

I guess that you could trip over your photographic equipment, watermark that photos you take, and post them as impromptu advertising.

Not calling you a hater Jezzy.. you posed a legitimate question in a straightforeward way not personally calling out anyone. Other respondants came accross as obnoxious in my opinion and my issue with the issue was simply that I personally go out of my way to live and let live and not sweat the petty things in life (or pet the sweaty things if I can help it, unless they are otherwise too irresistable to the touch that it doesn't matter)

I completely agree and understand your point Jez. The seven day advertising rule was fine...back in the old aspd days when there weren't as many provider ads. When a provider posts an ad these days...it'll be on page two at the end of the day...and there goes your visibility.

Personally, the threADs don't bother me...as I understand that some of the ladies are just trying to keep their visibility.

Maybe this is an issue that we should consider talking to the owners/mods...to consider making changes to the frequency of posting ads...or add another forum (besides the weekly and weekend sections) to allow us to post last minute or daily availability...just my .02.
