I love all kinds of art! I just don't happen to have any on my body yet, because I have not decided what to put or where, and it is very hard to remove ~ I like to be able to change my hair whatever every so often.
I also tend to be a 'Breast Man' and a tat there is just gravy in my book.
I would tend to agree it is a little more socially aceptable to have them where they could be hidden under a short sleve shirt, but come on if I dared to say anything against one on a woman's breast I would be the one getting in trouble for sexual harresment. Come to think of it I was fired for it once b/c someone (a customer who was proud of her art) had asked if I wanted to see it and I said sure, she pulled the top of her pants down for me to see her tat and they let me go ~ I am still mad about that one!

A board like this is about opinions. If we can only come here, and talk about what is deemed "good" by some posters... this place is going to die.

This place exists because we don't all have the same opinions. I agree that the comments on Jules photo were very harsh. But I did hear his message... Not so sure that Kayla did. Can you tell us what his message was? I think that had Kayla taken a little time to actually read the posting in an effort to understand his viewpoint, that she would realize the posting was not really about Jules at all. But she didn't read for content, and immediately saw it as an attack on a friend, and went into "Rabid Forum Poster" mode.

Because people cannot read the emotions of the writer, they tend to react in different ways. Some read a posting, and see it for the content. Others see only how it conflicts with what they believe, and react by throwing their own heated comments onto the fire.

I think that if the community feels strongly that bullies are overrunning the board, perhaps some measures need to be put into place to stop such actions.

I personally feel that many people refuse to do reviews, as they are tired of the White Knights coming to the rescue of the ladies. I've talked with others who don't review for this reason, and I haven't done a review since the second to last crash at ASPD, as I was tired of the WK's there. I've proposed no comments to reviews, but many seem to be against this... But that doesn't surprise me, as some of the gents are interested in WK'ing, as they feel they get extra mileage with it.

Another possibility is to add a "Dislike" button in addition to the "Like" button. You may have seen some of the boards that after a certain negative total on a posting, it becomes "collapsed" and the user must actively click on it to open it to view the posting. Such a system allows the users of the board to collectively decide what behavior is acceptable, and beyone acceptable.

Kayla, your promise to be the consience of ECCIE is laudable, but it is not a job that any individual can perform. I don't want any individual to be responsible for deciding what is just or incorrect. We all come at this with out own faults, misconceptions, and predjudices. So it is only the voice of the collective that can have the result the community wishes.

I like what 69er has posted. ALL of us have a duty to jump on douche bags who disregard basic rules of respect for the other people here. I will begin calling out people who refer to this as a 'whore' board because that's bullshit. I think the guys who call it that are douche bags, so maybe we should call it the douche bag board.

But... NONE of us can speak for anyone but themselves. What some people might think of as opinion, others might think of as insult or WKing. In the end, the community opinion will prevail if we all speak up.

Was it that serious? If he wanted to start a thread to bash tattoos hey thats fine with me but he had no right to attack me personally! ive tried looking at it in other ways and i still see is as an attack and a cry for attention by the op
