I did not have to post anything or mention anything and could have kept this to myself with my initial post. I felt that I have many good friends here within the community that it was worth mentioning.

I truly appreciate all the good wishes that are mentioned here in this thread in addition to the pm’s and emails. Some of you are truly caring friends and I appreciate it.

I have also quickly found out who my friends are and who are the others that have shown their true colors, that is sad! I will forgive but not forget!

Whatever it was, I had one symptom of a mild short term stroke, a couple of weeks ago, that lasted less than an hour with no permanent affects or damage to the brain. I had to react quickly before a bigger or more serious incident as I recognized the warning signal of a mini stroke and took immediate preventative actions. I could have had a transient ischemic attack, but I am not sure.

I have seen so many doctors, specialist and tests. Physicians, internists, optometrist, mri, mra, echocardiograms, blood tests, neurologists ….No one is sure of what the problem was, there is nothing wrong with me, thank God.

Now that all the physical and health issues have been cleared. The way I understand it after many discussions with specialists that there could have been other factors that caused this. A change in diet and a fluctuation of sugar in the system, an affect of too much caffeine that day, people that suffer from Migraines ( I don’t), and “here it comes” Do Not under estimate the affects of Stress!!

As I mentioned in my first posting “I will stay in touch with a select few of my friends”. I will do that and will continue to stay in this hobby and participate with the information exchange of the community. Yes, “the kinder gentler me” is back.

This experience was truly life altering, as short as it was. I can tell you that I appreciate all the good things in my life. I will enjoy life to the fullest, love myself, and savor each and every moment of happiness. I will cherish the kindness of my provider friends. Life is wonderful!

CNYM, just a quick question. So you suffered from a stroke because of stress from the Tsuami? Also, when you say you know who your friends are vs. who isn't. What does that mean?

CNYM, I hope for good health for you and am glad they haven't found anything truly threatening, although not knowing what caused it could probably cause some stress in itself.

Thoughts and prayers CNYM. Take your time and if it was a Mini Stroke or TIA relax and if PT is in order please do it. As someone with knowledge of both following doctors orders and adhering to recommendations will get you to where you want and need to be faster then not. Oh and getting back will get you back in the game :-)

Glad to hear the good news although it would scare the crap out of me that the doctors couldn't pin point the cause. Sounds like a change in lifestyle may be in order take care of yourself and be healthy.
