I think your right. I know of MANY folks who were layed off recently in 6 figure roles and some lower. Regardless, it's really rough out there in the job market. Not being reported on as accurately due to the shutdown as well as the gutting of the statistics that come from DOL, and others. I heard the sought after details had to get pulled from other sources but are showing a steepening drop in jobs and increases in unemployment claims.

Who gets credit for low gas when there's an employment crisis on the horizon. Credit debt over 1 trillion etc. MAGA gonna find out the hard way

There's a direct line that can be drawn between trump's "policies", for lack of a better word, and rising prices across the board. It's all pretty elementary. Not crazy at all.

You nailed it, NYC.

First, they accused trump of failing to lower gas prices, as promised. Now that gas prices are indeed softening across the nation, they're changing their tune and saying it's only because the economy is headed for a recession lol.

Unfortunately for Democrats (but happily for everyone else), the economy is still growing robustly. Real GDP expanded at an annual rate of around 3.5% in the third quarter (Atlanta Fed estimate) and is likely to close the fourth quarter with a further gain of 2.0% (with much of the slowdown due to Chucky Schumer's 43-day government shutdown).

The "Big Picture" point to remember is:

- Democrats are rooting for higher gas prices and a nasty recession.

- Republicans, by contrast, are working hard to deliver lower gas prices and stable, non-inflationary economic growth.

.

We'll consider giving you shared credit (with Bam) for "calling" it, after you give Trump credit for helping to make it happen.

All he had to do was replace Biden's war on fossil fuels with "drill, baby, drill"!

If either of you were smart, you'd thank OPEC+ and increased efficiency domestically for the production increases since domestic rig counts are way down. And lower demand.

It's not drill, baby, drill. And we just came off a high travel holiday.

Thanks for playing, boys

Predicting the obvious isnt very impressive Mr Gristle. I’m predicting here and now that the sun will rise on Christmas morning. Now go play with yourself. You’re good at it.

Looky here, BJs 2.85 this morning. Mr Gristle can’t spin that gas was as cheap under Joey Bribes. Gas didn’t sniff $3 a gallon let alone sub $3 in Pa. Take the defeat like a man. It won’t hurt. It’ll be good for your soul!!!

Did if you knew where to go, hence the sharing we did and all the sweet cash back had me spending less than you by a good bit.

I'm quite happy paying 13 cents less on avg per gallon today than a year ago even though we have been routinely paying more year over year for most of 2025.

I win no matter what. Get used to it
