How did the lowly Houston Texans get a Nationwide Primetime Thursday night football spot against the Bills.
The Bills going to turn them Texans into hamburger just like they have always done every year in the 1980's and 1990's with the Texans' predecessors, the Houston Spoilers.

This was supposed to be a bounce back year for the Texans, and the Bills were supposed to be one of the top two teams in the AFC this year. Neither are living up to the expectations when the schedules were set, although the Bills aren’t as far off where they ought to be.

both teams have a tough remaining schedule, especially for the Texans
Texans are 31 out of 32 in scoring in red zone.
Can't win games like that.

I heard earlier in the broadcast that Houston has the #1 defense (AFC or league, I’m not sure). I was not aware of that, but they sure look it tonight.

You are correct.
They just said it again.
For a team with the #1 defense in the NFL, they shouldn't be 5-5.
GOOGLE:

Scoring Defense: They were also ranked #1 in scoring defense, allowing an average of just 16.7 points per game.
Other Top Rankings: The defense also ranked highly in other key areas, including:
First in opponent completion percentage and passer rating.
Third in both rushing yards allowed per game and third-down defense percentage.

Combine the Cowboys offense wirh Houston’s defense, call them the Dallas Texans, and you have a real contender from this state for a change.

Can't believe Houston won and also can't believe they sacked Josh Allen 8 times.
Houston's next game is at the 8-2 (not counting this Sunday's game results) Colts in 10 days.
Gives them time to rest up.

That is a championship defense. I hope Stroud finds his mojo when he returns and they make a serious run for the playoffs.

Got a tough schedule ahead.
Don't underestimated any opponents regardless of how bad or good their standings are.
Cowgirls host the 8-2 Eagles this Sunday and then don't get much rest before hosting the currently 5-5 Chiefs on turkey day.
Hopeful the home field advantage will help them in both games.

With Thanksgiving coming and the Cowgirls playing on Thanksgiving Day, let's revisit a memorable 1993 Cowgirls Thanksgiving Day game:
when Leon Lett slid onto the snow ice ball.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egsieFOOxYE
P.s. who decided the Cowgirls and the Detroit Lions get to play football every Thanksgiving Day every year?

God Damn! The Gurls came back from being down 21 to win it.
Jerry will be talking Super Bowl tomorrow.
Next: the 6-5 Chiefs in Jerry's Death Star on Thanksgiving Day.
