Prez 1600+ autopen is doing everything to keep the full disclosure of the Epstein files shut tight. And everything he can to throw shade at anything else except him. I don't mind him ordering the investigation of demmies on a case his DOJ head had said is a nuttin burger like the maggies claim.
But.
It ain't a nuttin burger.
A complete opening of the files, victims identities redacted, is LONG overdue. Be damned who is caught in the Lolita Affairs.

I think he just did that, counselor.
US President Donald Trump on Sunday signaled support for the release of classified files linked to Jeffrey Epstein, reversing his earlier position as pressure mounts in Washington over the long-running scandal.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said: “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide,” calling the uproar surrounding his former friend’s crimes a “Democrat hoax.”

Nice source.
He is bout to blow.
the dam is breaking and we’ll see the lake MAGA inundate the GOP.
Trump has done ungodly things to deflect from this inevitability.
And AMERICANS have suffered while he plays his fiddle at the campfire.

No matter how much Trump tries to spin this the fact remains that he was forced by his own party to release the documents.
The question remains whether he will release all the evidence or will any of it go missing.

Well, it's happening. Larry Summers was Secretary of the Treasury when Clinton, Gingrich et al passed a balanced budgets. And as the Director of the NEC, he helped shepherd the USA through the recovery from the 2008 recession. He also wisely and presciently warned Democrats they risked igniting inflation by passing the American Rescue Plan in 2021. And now he has to banish himself from the Democratic Party. And for what? There's zero indication Summers ever participated in any of Epstein's nefarious activities. But because he corresponded with Epstein he has to go.
Elizabeth Warren's called for his head, and she got it. Why? Well first of all he's not a socialist who wants to maximize government revenue and minimize what's left in the hands of the people, like her economics gurus, Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman. And secondly she holds a grudge because Summers prevented her from calling the shots on various financial matters during the Obama administration.
Excerpts from
Larry Summers to Step Back From Public Commitments After Epstein Emails
“I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused. I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein,” Summers said on Monday. He said stepping back from public commitments was “one part of my broader effort to rebuild trust and repair relationships with the people closest to me.”
...Earlier Monday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Summers shouldn’t be trusted to teach classes at the university or advise the government, saying the economist displayed “monumentally bad judgement” in his correspondence with Epstein.
Warren, a longtime critic of Summers, urged Harvard to cut ties with the former Treasury secretary in sharp comments earlier reported by CNN.
“If he had so little ability to distance himself from Jeffrey Epstein even after all that was publicly known about Epstein’s sex offenses involving ******** girls, then Summers cannot be trusted to advise our nation’s politicians, policymakers, and institutions—or teach a generation of students at Harvard or anywhere else,” Warren said Monday.
...Late last week, President Trump said he would ask the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation to probe Epstein’s relationships with several prominent Democrats, including Summers, former President Bill Clinton and venture capitalist Reid Hoffman. A Clinton spokesman said last week that the emails “prove Bill Clinton did nothing and knew nothing.” Hoffman called the investigation baseless on social media. Summers didn’t respond to a request for comment at the time.
....He served as Treasury secretary in the Clinton administration before being picked to lead Harvard University in 2001. In 2005, as president, Summers delivered a speech suggesting the paucity of women in science and engineering might be connected to a difference in the distribution of aptitude. That led to a vote of no confidence by the faculty, and in 2006 Summers resigned.

The poor guy can't get a break. What he's said and done is innocuous, but because he's the slightest bit politically incorrect he has to go.

I missed the first post of yours that you referenced.
I think I've made it pretty clear that I believe that anyone who participated in, enabled, or ignored Epstein's actions deserves to go down, regardless of political affiliation.
Meanwhile, I'm going to continue to criticize Trump for his years-long sleezy friendship with Epstein and to mock MAGA for supporting him.

Hey Mort, From what I'm reading, Summers mistake was getting advice about a woman he was dating from Epstein. He also visited his place in the Virgin Islands in 2005.
Yeah, getting relationship advice from Jeffrey Epstein is nuts, like asking the Marquis de Sade for dating tips. Or Bernie Madoff for stock picks. Still Summers could be a valuable resource for the Democratic Party.
FYI, we were discussing this here back in 2019 and I said the same thing. Let sleeping dogs lie. This is a hooker board. Hopefully nobody here is up to anything like what what Epstein was convicted of. But let he who is without sin cast the first stone, at Bill Clinton or whoever. That means no board member who saw a hooker while he was married without his wife's consent should cast stones.
Yeah, if you want to criticize Trump for banging Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal while his wife was nursing, that's fair game. I suspect he doesn't deserve criticism from us over Epstein, other than the way he's using him as a political football.
