Woah! Mamdani is racist against white people!
How can you contradicting libs embrace this racism?
New York Post Editorial (June 29, 2025): Labeled it “pure racism,” arguing it (targeting property tax increases against white people) punishes whites and could lead to lawsuits under the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.
• Curtis Sliwa (Republican opponent): “Zohran Mamdani’s plan to tax people based on skin color isn’t just wrong, it’s racism, pure and simple.”
• Bill Ackman (hedge fund billionaire): Warned on X it would cause a “wealthy exodus” and be “disastrous for NYC.”

I say an always opinionated right leaning moderate would speak out against Mamdani and his proposed radical left policies.
But the self-proclaimed resident one here is silent.
Thats how we know it’s an intentional mislabel of self.

I don't care about New York City politics. I'm not a resident there, self-proclaimed or otherwise
Now, that felon running the country seems like a douche. We can't have that.

The guilty avoid the question.
Nice to see confirmation of the obvious.

A lot of them are going run to the right. And this won’t just be watched locally but will be nationally.
Wait until the top of the tax bracket flees and the middle class gets smacked with tax increases to pay for all the “free stuff”.
Free childcare, buses, subways, rent caps, city owned grocery stores, and more.
Shrinking tax base + increasing taxes = downward spiral

You do realize he is running for mayor not governor or POTUS?
This is hyperbole at the high RedHat end of the spectrum. Double up the tin foil.

If Mamdani runs NYC downhill, which is a very likely outcome given his socialist promises, the negative optics will be a national story.
In that scenario you do realize how a typical moderate will move politically?
Look at the Brits. They hate their far left Labour Party so much the populist Reform party is now the most popular. Pendulum swing.

Show me ONE example of the felon-in-chief answering a straightforward question without it turning into a tirade against the left, or a self-aggrandizing circle jerk. I'll wait.

Read more. Salivate less.
This thread is about both Mamdani AND trump.
I'll be over here waiting for a single, solitary example of trump giving a straightforward answer to any question without a tirade against the left or a "look at how great I am" circle jerk.

Explains a lot for sure.

Huh? Where are getting this nonsense?
I mean, I get it. You have zero facts behind your drivel, so right out of the MAGA playbook, you take personal shots at those arguing with you. It's your only chance of avoiding the real issue and changing the subject.
Nothing you've said here (or anywhere else) is rooted in reality. You thought this thread was only about Mamdani, for starters.
This thread is about Mamdani AND trump. Not my bingo card or anything about me. Keep the personal shit out of it. Stay on topic or leave the thread alone.

Racist and far left socialist Mamdani and his supporters are living in a fantasy world and will find out soon enough. A sampling.
Rent Freeze: Will worsen housing shortages, deter construction, and lead to decaying buildings—economists call it “city destruction by policy.”
Free Buses ($700M/year): Diverts funds from MTA repairs, rewards fare evaders, and risks service collapse.
Universal Childcare: Massive cost (~$3–5B/year) with no clear funding; likely to create long waitlists and low-quality care.
City-Run Grocery Stores ($60M pilot): History of government retail failure; expect waste, shortages, and political favoritism.
$10B Tax Hikes on Rich/Corporations: Will drive wealthy residents and businesses to low-tax states (FL, TX), shrinking the tax base and raising burdens on middle class.
Overall Risk: Echoes 1970s NYC fiscal crisis—big spending, fleeing capital, service cuts, and higher taxes for all.
