Americans are PISSED!
Voter turnout across the country is attracting huge turnout ... for an off-year election less than a year into the second Trump fiasco.
Why?
I understand the turnout in New York, NJ, VA and CA, but even here in Austin, where ballot propositions are by and large stupid and meaningless proposals by Abbott's sycophantic legislature. I stood in line for this!
Perhaps the answer is because PEOPLE are PISSED. Exit polls confirm this. Nobody's had a chance to weigh in on the policies that are now causing Americans real pain... those who have have been beaten down by Trump's secret police, harassed, sued, deported...
Today, people are voting because they still can.

People are pissed. Polls indicated that . Election results are indicating that.
MAGA is on the ballot and getting spanked.

Sweep coming in Virginia, governorship in Jersey and very likely 5 new democrat congressman from California to offset Trump's desperate plea to Texas to try to rig the midterms. Which I don't think will have the result Trumpublicans in Texas are anticipating. Latinas are not voting republican today like they did just a year ago.

PISSED. Good on ya mate
If the people are PISSED they should stop drinking for dry November. Unless of course they’re Democrats, then most likely the government, lobbyists, corporate sponsors, or Soros have bought and paid for their drinks.
If Republicans are PISSED, they most likely are spending their well earned bonuses on fine women, wine, and/or aged whisky.
British English (UK/Ireland/Australia): "Pissed" means drunk or intoxicated. To express anger, a British person would typically use the phrase "pissed off."
Cheers!

They elected a guy, as a law enforcement official no less, who openly advocated for the murder of another man’s children. How anyone could’ve pulled that lever is beyond me. I’d have not voted, or simply left it blank if wanting to support other democrats.

amusing when CA gerrymanders it's called democracy when TX does it's election rigging. sounds about right for the rhetoric of the left.

... Hee Hee! ... ... Pissed as a fart, mate...
Hmmmm... So, in Virginia, New Jersey and --- ... Gasp! - New York
- three (3) states where there are WAAAAY more Dems than Republicans -
the Democrat candidates surely win the elections there and
THAT somehow shows a great sign that Americans are
angry, blue, mad, and "pissed off"?? ...
... Surely would seem par for the course, yes?
Democrat voters yet-again electing Democrats...

This was not a good night if you’re a Republican. These are blowouts. I’m listening to Mamdani’s acceptance speech. I can’t believe it would appeal to moderate Democrats.
