A deal in principle with China. Details still to be worked out and signatures still to come. We've seen surprises before pen haa been put to paper to many times to take it at face value... and we'll need for see what the ultimate tariff rate become and on what.
Some red meat for the base with promised AG purchases. God knows he needed to cut a deal on that.

Yeah, but how much of this deal would we even need if Trump hadn’t started this tariff war to start with.

What you call war others call trying to improve financial terms for the US. The financial trajectory the US is on is not sustainable and you know that.
Is it unconventional by historical standard? Maybe. But how well has that worked?

Very, very little. He could have just picked up the phone. Alas, he needs to create drama he can pretend he solved. Meanwhile, we're still paying more

Trump has tapped $750M of tariff funds.
The same policies Democrats promised would cause a Depression are SAVING these programs - DURING the Democrats' shutdown.
You can't make this up.
$450M was readied on Friday, on top of $300M previously, POLITICO reports.
Checkmate. I’ll drop the mic right here.

You're talking about WIC. And that was unspent funds from last fiscal year... not from a proposed tariff on Italian pasta. Pick up your mic. That's hilarious

A good summary of the issues for the upcoming Supreme Court case on Wednesday, including what it covers and what it doesn't so that people can reset and align their expectations.
Let's remember, this is a conservative legal challenge and it could take until July to get a ruling

Absolutely genius!
Verified: The Trump Administration is Using Tariff Revenue for WIC Amid Shutdown
- The Trump administration redirected tariff revenue from the USDA's Section 32 account to sustain the WIC program, which supports nearly 7 million low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and young children. Initially, $300 million was transferred in October 2025 to prevent a funding lapse, followed by an additional $450 million on November 1, totaling $750 million for short-term coverage.
- Trump's tariffs generated $190 billion through September 2025, enabling these reallocations

Tomorrow’s United States Supreme Court case is, literally, LIFE OR DEATH for our Country. With a Victory, we have tremendous, but fair, Financial and National Security. Without it, we are virtually defenseless against other Countries who have, for years, taken advantage of us. Our Stock Market is consistently hitting Record Highs, and our Country has never been more respected than it is right now. A big part of this is the Economic Security created by Tariffs, and the Deals that we have negotiated because of them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Ah, the words of a desperate Tariffman that claims with a straight face and a full diaper that the U.S. will become a third world country if the Supreme Court rules against his Tantrum Day Tariffs

A lot of good discussion today. The Justices honed in on 4 things I felt were very important.
The confirmation of tariffs as a tax
The question of whether the tariffs are designed to be regulatory or revenue generating
The slippery slope of "emergencies"
The major questions doctrine implications
Now, in addition to that there were some potential offramps regarding a refreshing the tariffs as license fees. And the question of how to unwind this and reimburse without causing a giant mess. It certainly will be interesting to watch watch it play out. Hoping for a quicker ruling, given the importance and implications of these tariff questions
