Default 6 of 10 disapproval for Trump

Term two ain’t going too well. Over 60% say Trump has made the economy worse. Same percent say Trump has used presidential power badly.

Trump has lost pretty much all support aside from his MAGA base. And on top of that Trump and the republicans are losing the messaging battle on the shut down. 15% more people blame them over the democrats.

Great lead up to the off year elections and prep for next year’s midterms.

Exactly. Democrats will vote to reopen government soon after the elections on Tuesday. The ends justify the means. Crafty Democrats!

So Trump is polling at 2-3x the democrat’s favorability numbers. Sounds about right.

Well, of course it'll be after Tuesday. Doubtful it'll be soon though.

I made my prediction as to when they will vote that way. It ain't this week or next.

Irrelevant though since politics are local. Last I checked people are elected in districts. Dems individually are doing fine in those.

So why pitch a tent when some pollster tells you Trump is underwater? Last I checked presidents only get 2 terms.

Because his failings reflect on his party, who are in coming elections. But you knew that already. Less than 4 in 10 Americans are fans of Trump currently. So the people running in swing districts or newly created contested districts and governorships will be dragged down by hitching a ride on the Trump train to nowhere.

His first term midterms resulted in what? A blow out of republicans in congress if I recall. And then he lost an election by 10 million votes. I think he also lost the senate, but I don't remember exactly. I’ve seen this story before as well.

So you don't believe any of the polls?

And "democrats" (the Royal "we") are polling a third as high as the tailspinning Scheissfuhrer? Love the context and the math,

OK. Seems like none are as blind as those who fail to look.

If the world survives another year, we'll be able to end this shameful nightmare.

Him and nearly every other president, it’s what happens in office year elections. Clinton got straight up mauled his first term, north of 50 house and like 10 senators. Gingrich was the first republican speaker in half a century. Divided government isn’t a horrible thing, the more gridlock the better afaic. Every law these losers cook up is an infringement on freedom.

I don’t care because it doesn’t matter. He’s not on a ballot, and they’re near universally wrong when he is.

Are you saying he's shooting for early lame duck status?
