Why is prostitution really illegal? An interesting look on the subject.

Men will always pay for pussy, married or not, except for broke bad boys. Women can't resist these guys. I wish I had that talent.

I understand sex trafficking and underage girls, but I wish they would legalize it.

I travel to a couple of cities in Europe every year to visit friends and family. Prostitution is legal and there isn't a morality issue like we have in the states. It's also better for all involved as there are STD tests etc. Don't get me wrong, there are still street walkers, but the US could learn a thing or two. And don't get me going on how much better they do wtih education and health care!

If you look at the underlying reasoning why most humans are "bad", the core concept is this: it is an attempt to consolidate and control resources - in some way, shape, or form. Keep in mind, in this context, I say "most" as being 51% or greater. Not necessarily 98% or higher.
When humans get together and organize, then you have structures in place that proliferate this; typically far more so than a single person can consolidate and control resources on their own.
There's all kinds of ways that people attempt to disguise their true motives. But this is what it always comes back to. In layman's terms "selfishness and greed" in that most humans are not actually altruistic. In this case, they accomplish their goal by pretending to protect the public good through means of combating an unethical act (prostitution), spending thousands of years using religion as a shield. It's one of hundreds of methods people use to achieve their goals, which are almost always unrelated to their real intentions.

From a personal perspective, I feel it opens up opportunity for other vices. Like human trafficking etc.
