Yes, there have been threads about her robbing/scamming. I’ve seen her and had a regular meeting. No drama. I won’t see her again now that this recent experience has been reported.

My regular safety routine is:

I always make sure the hotel door is locked when I come in. This won’t stop her from opening it but will stop someone from outside opening it.

I always drop my gift on the counter when I walk in, always saying “I’m gonna leave this here” and making sure the girl sees me do it.

And I make sure the girl is getting comfortable before I begin to get comfortable. There have been times when she tells me to get comfortable and then she goes into the bathroom. I will stand there awkwardly and wait until she comes out before I begin. If she stalls, I will stall too.

I guess my thought is if something sketchy happens, hopefully I’ll still be dressed or mostly dressed and can get out quickly, but I would lose the gift. I’ll happily give up the gift if it means I walk out of any bad situation. It’s only happened to me once. I saw a girl at an apartment and she said to get comfortable then she took the donation and said she’d be right back. I took my shoes off and then stopped and sat on her bed waiting for a minute before another girl (her roommate) walked in and asks what I’m doing there and I need to leave. I immediately know it’s a con and am happy to just leave with no drama. I still think about how easy it would have been to call their bluff and go find the first girl in the other room hiding, but it’s not worth any risk to my personal life.

I've had a couple of bad encounters too, now I am always armed with a knife in one pocket and a small pistol in the other. BTW I'm fully trained in use of both.

i choose to lose $120 and stay out of prison. killing a pimp in a hotel is gonna be a tough one to breeze thru.

I can't say I haven't thought about visiting armed but at the end of the day a $120 lesson is much preferable to any time spent locked up(even if you were able to spin it as self defense you're still gonna spend some time in jail). And that's why the forums are good for the hobby, to try to steer ppl away from thiefs, I look at it as TOFTT
