have MANY Black people - All Well-qualified - to serve

... Will YOU be supporting them in the upcoming elections?
Cheering them on??

What’s funny is you think Kennedy and Hegseth are not qualified.

Give it up Blackman. You're sounding like a broken record. Instead how about addressing the comments in bold text below,

The changes that Trump’s brought haven’t all been positive. Other than the neoconservatism I prefer the old Republican Party.

Instead of playing the hijack card, how about pointing out blacks have served in every Republican president’s cabinet during most of our lifetime’s. The new Republican Party, like the old Republican Party, invites participation regardless of race, color or creed.
There are many formidable Black American politicians in the New Republican Party. To name a few, Tim Scott, Byron Donalds, Wesley Hunt, John James, Will Hurd, Ben Carson, Condoleeza Rice and Winsome Sears. It would depend on the opponent, but I'd probably pick any of them except Donalds and James in a primary or general election. I bet Salty would too, certainly in the general elections. How about you?

Why are we so focused on African Americans in terms of Trump administration?

The Republican Party of 2025 looks to be merit based regardless of one's heritage, birth culture or faith structure.

What about the inclusion of other minorities and/or ethnicities. What about LGBTQ cabinet secretaries? I see plenty of high performing subject matter experts who do not fit the old mold of Republican functionaries . . .and they are not DEI hires like Biden's last press secretary, Transportation Secretary or Vice President.

Why only African Americans?

Did salty answer my question? Nope. But your answer is for me to answer his. That’s exactly how deflection works right. Someone asks a question. Instead of answering they try to create a different subject of conversation. Hence not answering the question. But you know this already. Had salty answered the question there would be no need for me to ask.

Same with ole ICU. He could simply answer the question, yet he refuses to do so. Why should I entertain any questions he poses if he can’t bring himself to answer a simple question posed to him.

Tiny, maybe you should get out of this convo addressed to them and post your ChatGPT factoids. I presume ICU and Salty are man enough to answer questions and even provide some explanation as to why the answer is what it is. Rather, they just play the deflect and avoid game. I expect it from Salty because . . . Well, it’s his usual. No sources, blatant and easily disprovable lies filled with nonfactual and unsupported drivel. ICU pretends to be some deep thinker, though his posts tend to just be retreads of shit he posted a month prior. So if he’s so thoughtful and deep, show it. I posed a question and the answer is simple. Here we are 3 pages later and still no answer, just avoidance. I’m willing to engage, but if simple questions can’t be answered and discussed what’s the point.

As usual, the right wing circle jerk, just likes stroking one another and trying to finish simultaneously.

Unfortunately ICU, loyalty to Trump outweighs merit. And that can preclude the best and the brightest from working in the Trump administration. You've got to be willing to sell positions like cutting interest rates by 3% or imposing 150% tariffs on China when the Chinese can play the rare earth card. Or deporting illegal immigrants to South Sudan, although actually maybe that's something Stephen Miller sold Trump.

As to LGBTQ, yeah, Scott Bessent is the highest ranking gay cabinet secretary ever. And he has a husband who attended some of his hearings. I don't think Trump gives a crap what bathroom a Trans person uses or that gay people can marry. That's an area though where the Republican Party base is probably less enlightened than Trump, unfortunately in my view.

It's hard to figure out what Trump thinks about Hispanics. They're voting for him and for Republicans in record numbers, in large part because of things that Republicans get right or that appeal to them: efficient government at the state and local level, being tough on crime, and policies that have helped hard workers to get ahead. Hispanics on average lean towards social conservatism. In my county, a plurality is Hispanic, and Republicans often win elections with 60% margins.

I'd think that Trump's over-the-top immigration policies would hurt the party's appeal to Hispanics. I cringed when he said, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. […] They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." I figured that would really hurt Republicans in 2016, and it probably did.

The Trump organization has hired a lot of Hispanics and illegal immigrants, often as contractors. So, like LGBTQ's, is Trump really more enlightened on deportations than the base? Is he doing it anyway to appeal to the base? Or is he a true believer? I don't know.

In any event, I agree, he's shown he'll hire people regardless of "one's heritage, birth culture or faith structure," with the caveat being they need to be loyal to Trump.

OK Blackman, I shall allow you to continue with your quest to get each and every Trump supporter here to admit that there are currently no black cabinet members.
