Oh Boy I don't know what area you live in but land prices don't support that statement in my area. 8 to 10 thousand dollars an acre for farm land. And south of me I hear it's 15+ per acre. The tax assessor doesn't seem to agree with your theory of the abundance of land either. Wish they did, good grief she loves to raise the taxes on my little patch of paradise. Don't tell the family farmers in my area "No fucking body is farming any more." because they must not have gotten the memo you sent out. Plus there are a lot of Amish and Mennonite Farms around me. There is a LOT of farmland in upstate New York. Maybe leave the blue city once in a while. Solar is crap. No storage capacity to run anything, the weather in this area certainly isn't going to cooperate. And how many people will be willing to give up their land for the green hoax?

Not quite. There is a lot of extra profit being pulled out of the distribution and production process. Farmers are hopefully earning a profit off of their crops but I would venture that the baker and the distributor are making more profit than the farmers themselves.

Correct.
And, farmers are being put out of business by other methods.
Out west water rights lawsuits are proliferating like rats jumping ship. Even between states. We paid for a new deep well in west Kansas and even that was barely sufficient for the amount of cattle we had. So we sold out.

That's my point on a $4 loaf of bread the farmer makes 12¢. Rest was sarcasm. The farmer is the only one in the equation that is no in charge of what he gets paid. Everyone else sets the price they are paid based on the free market.
