Default Trump Kursk mess

Now thanks to Trump, it looks like the brave Ukraine fighters that occupy Kursk region
may get slaughtered by Putin.

So much for his "take our cease fire conditions" or else.

Ukraine was not going to win the war or remain in Kursk, regardless of whether Kamala had been elected. At least Trump’s trying to do something to end the senseless slaughter and maiming of hundreds of thousands, instead of mindlessly enabling an endless war.

Going into Kursk was a bad decision by the Ukrainians. See this,

https://www.theamericanconservative....rable-failure/

I read in a separate piece that ex-Wagner fighters were moved from Africa to Kursk. And, unlike some Russsian servicemen in Ukraine, they’re motivated to fight to protect the fatherland. Putin wasn’t going to lose Kursk. And Ukraine wasn’t going to be able to defend what it took.

It’s not fair to blame this on Trump.

I guess we should have stayed out of WWII and let Hitler and Hirohito split the world to spare a few lives. Idiotic...

What's your solution? NATO troops on the ground? Go to war with the country with the largest nuclear arsenal in the world? Because that's the only way you push Russia out of Ukraine. If Russia decides to go medieval and start carpet bombing civilians, it will win. And if Putin's backed into a corner, he could very well do that.

The head of Eurasia Group and editor and chief of the Economist were on Fareed Zakaria this morning. Both agreed that getting the 30 day cease fire on the table was a good move, PROVIDED THAT Trump puts pressure on Russia like he did Ukraine. Admittedly the editor was skeptical that would happen.

I stand shoulder to shoulder with President Trump and Senator Bernie Sanders on this issue.

And it's not idiotic to end a senseless war that's killing a lot more than "a few lives."

Seems I recall Zelyynski being booted from the WH and begging for cab fare, due to a disinterest in negotiating.

Let me ask some honest questions:

Did Ukraine giving up the 3rd largest nuclear arsenal in the world with promises of respect for borders by Russia stop the killing?

Did giving up Crimea after the 2014 invasion by Russia violating the above stop the killing?

How many times do you expect Ukraine to believe any peace promise made by Russia?

Now, I'm not the most knowledgeable by any means, but IMO what the US and NATO countries should have done was when it became apparent Ukraine was in the fight and having success early on was make a phone call to the Kremlin and simply state. You got away with 2014, back the fuck off.

And not if, but when, Putin didn't we shouldn't have have dribbled in weapons. We should have given them everything, including long range missiles, "an Iron Dome" air defense equivalent of what we have provided Israel, and any and every other thing that could have helped them. Waiting years to agree to F-16s and start training was bullshit, that should have happened in weeks.

Or what? Send in the US Marines? Nuke Moscow?

The vast majority of people in Crimea, pretty much all of them in Sevastopol, consider themselves Russian and wanted no parts of the corrupt Ukrainian puppet government Obama installed, btw.

I'm just gonna stop at your first one.

Ukraine handed over a shit ton of fissionable material to the USA. Any of y'all maggies want to put a price tag on that?

And they did it giving up a bargaining piece of their safety.

Don't ever believe a maggie when they say Ukraine never did anything for the USA.
