				 Trump grandstanding for his inauguration

Mr. Trump invited Chinese President Xi. Of course he did not accept. The standard practice is for the Chinese ambassador to attend inaugurations.

Mr. Trump couldn't even manage to show up to President Biden's inauguration.

 Oh, Mr. Trump.

Nope it just shows how butthurt Trump was over the 2020 election.

I think VitaMan is saying that Trump is an egotistical liar and jerk. Hard to argue against that.

You don't get it. That's okay.

Mr. Trump didn't even show up for President Biden's inauguration. And now he is trying to get world leaders to come to his. A comedy of errors.

Excerpt below in bold from this link that probably explains it the best, but more info in the article: https://apnews.com/article/trump-xi-...953813955d532f
Should Trump slap tariffs as high as 60% on Chinese goods upon taking office as he’s threatened, Xi would look like a fool if he had chosen to attend, and that’s unacceptable to Beijing, Sun said.
That was my only thought when I read this. I was like, why the fuck would this guy attend an inauguration for a guy he may be in a trade war with in a year?

Trump following the old adage "Keep your friend close, and your enemies even closer"With all of Bidens so-call foreign policy expertise, it would be difficult for Trump to fuck up the world worse than Biden has

Ya'll are missing the point. Trump invited him because he fucking won. Deal with it and enjoy the next 12 years.

Bud, Trump's ego invited him because he won and wanted Xi to come kiss the ring. That guy basically did the wise thing and told him to "fuck off". It's not like Xi is unaware of the fact that we need China as much as they need us... Trump knew good and damn well that man was not going to show up to his inauguration. That was all for attention.
Hell, we need China so much that we owe them a shit load of money. Fortunately, they aren't loan sharks and not trying to liquidate their securities because of how much they own us. So yeah, smart of Trump to play games with them as if our 520-credit score buried in debt country owns them. LOL

As of November 2024, China held $774.6 billion in U.S. Treasury securities, making it the second-largest foreign holder of U.S. debt. Japan is the largest foreign holder of U.S. debt, with $1.13 trillion in holdings.
