Nah. Prion assay = misfolded protein. That would be measured via a western blot. But clinically, you would make the diagnosis pretty quickly through other findings.

so the deal was that at my tiny boston prep school, there was a rule of no smoking inside the building. (combined school plus living quarters.) so i was leaning way outside my window, smoking, talking to my neighbor, who was doing the same thing, except for the smoking part. when suddenly the Headmaster barked at me to meet him in his office in 1 minute, my thought was, i don't think i should argue my point that i wasn't technically "smoking in the building." considering he gave me an immediate suspension of unknown duration, i think that was probably the right call..

i packed up my books and left for the North Shore to "visit" my grandma. i think she was the only one who would have me.
