That's why Gitmo is still open. With all the info floating around they should have enough reason to fill it. They can start with Pelosi and work their way through the whole Democrat party.

Right. Tigers are soo much more appropriate on a hooker board. Ummm, you're the bottom tiger in that picture, right? Like in most things I'm sure.
Still don't see why salty can't manage to post a link if he wants us to go look at his silly book.

Nah. That's your zip code. Biden appears to be all you can get in your head. I'd say "think about" but it's pretty obvious that's not your strong suit.

Since links are difficult for some, here's the summary of what should be required reading, for some:
A masterful and eye-opening examination of Trump and the coercive control tactics he uses to build a fanatical devotion in his supporters written by “an authority on breaking away from cults…an argument that…bears consideration as the next election cycle heats up” (Kirkus Reviews).
Since the 2016 election, Donald Trump’s behavior has become both more disturbing and yet increasingly familiar. He relies on phrases like, “fake news,” “build the wall,” and continues to spread the divisive mentality of us-vs.-them. He lies constantly, has no conscience, never admits when he is wrong, and projects all of his shortcomings on to others. He has become more authoritarian, more outrageous, and yet many of his followers remain blindly devoted. Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert and a major Trump supporter, calls him one of the most persuasive people living. His need to squash alternate information and his insistence of constant ego stroking are all characteristics of other famous leaders—cult leaders.
In The Cult of Trump, mind control and licensed mental health expert Steven Hassan draws parallels between our current president and people like Jim Jones, David Koresh, Ron Hubbard, and Sun Myung Moon, arguing that this presidency is in many ways like a destructive cult. He specifically details the ways in which people are influenced through an array of social psychology methods and how they become fiercely loyal and obedient. Hassan was a former “Moonie” himself, and he presents a “thoughtful and well-researched analysis of some of the most puzzling aspects of the current presidency, including the remarkable passivity of fellow Republicans [and] the gross pandering of many members of the press” (Thomas G. Gutheil, MD and professor of psychiatry, Harvard Medical School).
The Cult of Trump is an accessible and in-depth analysis of the president, showing that under the right circumstances, even sane, rational, well-adjusted people can be persuaded to believe the most outrageous ideas. “This book is a must for anyone who wants to understand the current political climate” (Judith Stevens-Long, PhD and author of Living Well, Dying Well).

I'm sure. Could you please tell me why you think it's biased and I'll get right on it! Is it because the "about the author" states this:
Steven Hassan is a mental health professional who specializes in helping people to recover from mind control as well as helping loved ones to exit without coercion. He has been helping people leave destructive relationships and organizations since 1976 after he was rescued from the infamous cult, the Moonies. Hassan directs the Freedom of Mind Resource Center, a counseling and publishing organization outside of Boston, teaches at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and is pursuing a doctorate from Fielding University. He is the author of Combating Cult Mind Control and Releasing the Bonds and Freedom of Mind: Helping Loved Ones Leave Controlling People, Cults, and Beliefs.
Or because you looked into the Qball and know his political leaning? Again, just let me know your basis for calling it biased and I'll get right to work on finding something that out does it. Thanks for participating!

The topic of the thread was "great book", I posted about a book. Surely you're not so "biased" that you can't appreciate other viewpoints from different books, mate.

... You're the one that's biased... Just ask Winn.
WHY are you posting about Trump in this thread?
No comment on the "Red-Handed..." book, I see.
No interest from YOU in addressing the Biden family corruption??
Maybe the FBI and DOJ can investigate this and find
Trump/Russia collusion.

The thread is about BOOKS, not anyone in particular. And I'm interested in addressing all corrupt politicians. It's supposed to be a civic duty, not a career, I'd fully support a law that says it's one term, then no other office for 2 x the time of the term served. It would really cut down on the pork barrel/corruption/stagnation that leaves the government at the whim of corporations.
NOBODY gets excited when they get called for jury duty, a civic duty. I think it should be the same for political office. The "winner" should want to go to the local bar and complain "damn, I've got to be a senator (or whatever office) for x years". Not hell yeah, I just scored free healthcare and retirement.

You're going to bring up bias now?!?!
I don't know either author. Just took a glimpse at the one the OP posting about. Interesting one is the Secret Empires book. Definitely one sided by not mentioning the fiscal lies of donny. But than again, he hides his tax statements. But his *former* non-profits, i'll bet, aren't mentioned. Or the fact that his family was court ordered to take ethic classes.
But don't let bias get in the way else we'll have to start a new Political Forum

They will believe anything, so long as it makes them feel less self-loathing and lower their inferiority complex.
